Steven sighed as he looked out at the sea from his place at the light house, "I'm sure they will be here soon Steven" A soft voice spoke, Steven looked over at the Pink sapphire he dragged with him to hang out with his friends, the one who was assigned to watch over him as the others went on a mission, "but Pink what if they don't come" Steven worried making Pink sigh "They stopped to get pizza Steven that's why they are late" Pink said as she pulled a juice box from a gem that laid on her chest, Steven smiled as he took the drink, "ok if you say so" Steven said as he took a drink, a few minutes passed by before a blue Jeep rolled up the hill, "hey dude...and dudett? sorry were late we stop to get pizza" a tan boy with sunglasses said as a girl with a bob cut held up a box of pizza "yeah sorry Steven we didn't mean to keep you hanging for so long" a boy with white pointy hair said as he stuffed his hands in his hoodies pockets, "it's ok guys I had Pink here to keep me company" Steven said as he waved a hand as if to show off said gem, Pink did nothing but wave at the three friends, "wow nice to meet you, say are you a gem as well" the white hair male asked, "yes I am it's nice to meet you" Pink said in a quiet voice "oh he also won't like that the pizza is squares"she said as she turned to look at the girl with the bob cut, the girl looked at Pink with wide eyes, she then looked down at the pizza box in her hands "how did you- never mind" the girl said before sitting down with the other kids "OH that's right guys this is Pink, Pink these are my friends Buck, Jenny, and last but not least sour cream" Steven said with a big smile on his face "it is nice to meet you" Pink said as she watched the teens eat the square pizza (much to Stevens sadness) "wait so Steven what exactly do gems do" sour cream asks as he gulps down his pizza "oh uh well they can do magic and can shape shift but I'm not to sure what they do uhh hey Pink what do gems do" Steven asks. Pink hummed as she stood up, she then made a holler gram come from her gem, "well before you learn what we do you should know what we are and what we were made for first," Pink said as floated before the three teens "we gems were made to serve our diamonds and made as tool for their every need, if we were to ever step out of line we were to be shattered, if we were not made the way we were suppose to be we were shunned and sometimes shattered for not being able to due our purpose, we were each assigned a diamond to serve and to colonias planets, we have spent hundreds of years like this that is until my diamond was made, but she wasn't made like the rest of us gems, us gems are made from the soil of the planets our diamonds have colonized but the diamonds are made not like us, we gems are made to do certain Jobs, Ruby's are the army's of the diamonds, peridots are the Brian while us Sapphires were made to tell the diamonds the future, then the war broke out and well I guess that is a story for another time" Pink stopped with soft blush as she dismissed her holler gram, she then cleared her throat "any questions" she asked as she stared at the group on the ground "uhhh what does shattering do to you guys" sour cream asked after some silence, Pink floated down towards the group "you see our gems are our most fragile place on our whole body it our whole being, say I was to get hurt on anywhere but my gem my physical form would poof away and I would be in a very fragile state as I would be nothing but a gem and if my gem gets shattered the I wouldn't be able to ever come back from my gem" Pink explains as she lowers down to the ground. "Oh umm my bad but wait Steven isn't Garnet a fusion, cause you didn't mention fusion" sour cream said making Pink hum "well you see fusion was only used for Ruby's to protect the diamonds and if anyone els were to fuse with a gem that is not if their kind they were to be shattered, fusion was a form of power that you only do when deemed necessary, fusion was made for war not anything els but well then the war happened but that was a long time ago" Pink said as she sat down next to Steven, the group took that as a sign that the explanation was over, "any way did you guys read the news about what happened last week" Jenny asked as she ate her pizza, "yeah I did it was really crazy" Buck said as he sipped his tea, "I didn't what happened" Steven asked "well a couple weeks ago apparently the lake that once was clear was full of moss the next day and no one knows why" Jenny explained, Steven awed at the news "oooh do you think it's really happened" Steven asked "eh Im not really sure but I haven't seen it so I don't know" sour cream said getting a nod from Buck "man I wish we could go see the lake" Steven whined "maybe we could we can go see it tomorrow" Jenny suggested, Steven looked at Jenny with stars in his eyes, "really yes yes yes let's go" he said in a rush making the three teens laugh "Steven" Pink said in a quiet voice, Steven immediately turned to her "please Pink please please please!! I'll do anything just please let me go see the lake" he pleaded but Pink didn't budge "oh hey I know how about Pink comes with us that way we can go see that lake but she can still watch you" sour cream asked, Steven looked at Pink with an expecting face "please Pink" Steven asked, "it's late Steven I'll think about it" Pink said as she floated up, "but in the meantime your friends can stay over while the others are away" Pink said making everyone cheer and laugh, soon everyone was packed into the jeep, "hey Pink what are you waiting for come on" sour cream said from the window, Pink didn't move for a couple of seconds before floating towards the car door, sour cream opened the door before scooting over to give pink some room. Pink floated up and down onto the seat in silence, once she was comfortable sour cream leaned over Pink and closed the door before giving Jenny the ok to drive, and off they were to the beach house.
