CH 9

Hyejin POV

Stepping onto fertile soil felt assuring. I stretch my arms and take a deep breath.

Standing next to me, Sungchan asks "So what now?"

"Well Ocsen is pretty big, but ATEEZ are unlikely to be far from the shores, first, we need to find a motel to stay in." I tell him, scanning the coast, to see if there were any ATEEZ members on sight.

"Great! I'm sure there are good motels inside the city." He says, walking ahead.

I place my hand in front of him to stop. Standing right in front of him, I place my hand behind his neck and pull his head down to my height, "listen, were here to find your murderers not for a vacation. The sooner we find them, the sooner I get to leave. So we do it my way. Got it?"

He just nods his head stiffly. With a satisfied smile, I let go of him and turn to walk towards the right side, where there was a small motel, which would be good enough for our stay.

Opening the door, I walk up to the old lady sitting down on the counter, "two rooms please." I ask in my most polite tone possible.

"Sorry, got only one, but it has two bed."

Sighing, I turn to leave.
"I wouldn't leave if I were you. It's season, people are coming over now, so most places are fully booked, that's why people come here." She tells.

"Fine we'll take it." I place a bad of coins on the counter and grab the key she gave and climbed up the stairs looking for our room.

Finding the right door, I put the key and twist the knob, opening into a decent room, there were two single beds, with clean bed sheets and a bathroom attached, the window was facing to the sea, so it wasn't all that bad.

"You only got one room?" Sungchan questions sitting down on the bed near the window.

"They only had one."

"Well then we could've gone to another hotel." He argues.

"Can't you just be satisfied. If you wanted royal service you should've just stayed home you know." I snarl at him.

"Chill woman. So what s the next step of your plan?"

"You stay right here, I'll stake out and snake around the place to see if i get any trace of ATEEZ."

"Why do I have to stay here?" He asks, annoyed.

"Do you know how to stealth walk?" I ask with an eyebrow raised.

He just rubs the back of his neck. "Thought so." I roll my eyes at him and head to the bathroom to refresh myself.

As night fell, I wore a tight top and pants in black colour and put on a place mask as well, not forgetting my contact lenses as well.

Probably drowning in boredom, Sungchan watched my every move.

As soon as I was ready, I open the window to check if the coast was clear.

"Don't do anything stupid, while I'm gone. Stay quiet or just go to sleep." I tell him and jump over to the roof of the motel.
