Chapter Six

- Caiden's POV -

I don't know what is going on, Mare refused to see me yesterday, she went home without saying goodbye and I am none the wiser as to what I have done. It was the next morning and I was heading over to the bleachers when I felt someone push me, I turned to see Mason stood there looking pissed off
"Hey" I said making him scowl at me
"What?" I asked starting to walk again until he pushed me further
"Dude!" I yelled
"Don't dude me!" he yelled back, I looked at him confused
"What is going on" Elliott asked as everyone
"Why don't you ask Caiden about his summer" he said making me go wide eyed
"Or better yet since he is lying to our faces, Haven. How was your summer" he said looking straight at her and making everyone else look at her too
"Don't bring her into it" I said not wanted her to get the back lash of it all
"You already brought me into it when you lied to them about what you did with your summer and that you had a girlfriend back home" Haven said before storming off
"Caiden what have you done" Charlie asked
"During the summer, me and my parents went away, we were away for a week and then they came back while I stayed with Haven and her family. we got very close very quickly and some things happened but I then called it off before returning back home" I explained making them all have disappointed looks on their faces
"Why didn't you just tell us" Charlie asked
"Why lie and make matters 10 times worse" Phoebe asked
"I didn't want you guys to hate me" I said
"We aren't gonna hate you, we don't agree with what you have done but at the same time it is your choice to make, you now have two girls on the go in a sense and you need to fix it" Mason said

 - Marissa's POV -

I eventually managed to pull myself out of bed but at this point it was almost midday
I walked down the stairs and didn't here a single noise which is strange as Deb is usually home
There was a not on the door to the kitchen that read

Hey sweetie, ive gone out for the day with some friends of mine. If you need anything give me a bell - Deb

I smiled at note, it's about time Deb had time to be social
I walked into the kitchen and instantly was drawn to the freezer for ice cream, that is when it hit me. I cannot keep eating my weight in ice cream
I changed my course and headed towards the strawberries instead, that's a compromise right?
Sitting on the sofa all day with Netflix seemed like the best plan, it was all going well until there was a knock at the door
"Hello" I said and there stood a man with a dozen white roses and I knew exactly who they were from, it was our flower -he must know that I know
I smiled at the guy and took the flowers in and placed them down before taking the card out

I know I have messed up Mare, I know you hate me right now but please give me a chance to explain. Meet me at our spot on the beach at 11?x

I sighed looking at the note, what was I meant to do? If I go, I'm giving into him, but if I don't then I will never hear his side of the story..
