"Move out!"
Scaramouche said to you as he abruptly grabbed your hand. A worried / irritated face was plastered on his usual calm demeanor. You felt droplets of liquid fall down your cheeks along the vicinity of Wuwang Hill, it is a clear sign that rain might fall soon.
You two were spotted by guards around the area. Ever since the fallen stars that brought sleep have emerged, milleliths were commonly found all around the area making it rather hard for you and Scaramouche to make a move.
Eventually you two hid under an abandoned travelling cart. Scaramouche placed his hat outside of the cart as there won't be any more space left for the two of you. There was also a lone wooden chest inside in which a couple of enhancement ores and some food were inside of it.
The footsteps of the milleliths grew farther and father away making your partner heave out a sigh. He then turned to you with a deadly look, "Do you really had to yell whenever we come across a star fragment?"
A silly smile appeared on your face, "But it's shinyyyyy..."
Scaramouche peeked out of the worned out cart and reached his arms out. A couple of droplets touched his skin and eventually, rain started to pour rather hard. My hat.. He thought to himself before cowering to the farthest side away from the rain and sighed as he hugged his knees to avoid taking up a lot of space.
"Damn it now I'm stuck with you until the rain stops" the navy haired looked at you with his deadly stare but you just returned that stare with a smile. "Out of all people.. why did Signora gave you as my partner"
You shrugged, "Beats me. Maybe we're a great duo together y'know?"
Scaramouche rolled his eyed and looked out of the cart. With the rain, a thick fog appeared in Wuwang Hill. Only the sound of crickets and the falling droplets of water were echoing through the woods.
He tensed up when he felt a pair of arms wrap around him.
"I'm cold" you mumbled as you try snuggling at the crook of the boy's neck but he just pushed you away. "We're friends righttt? Why can't I get a hug from youuuu???"
Scaramouche isn't a fan of skinship. He doesn't liked to be touched nor hugged by the people around him. He wouldn't admit but it was rather nice that he felt your warmth around him in contrast towards the coldness that the rain was giving.
You both turned quiet for a while.
Your body was slowly drifting away as your drowsiness is making you feel tired. You gently leaned your head on the wall of the cart while heaving out a yawn.
Though before you could fall asleep, you heard shuffling beside you. You didn't bother to look at it though as you were getting tired every minute that passes.
Scaramouche huddled over to your side. He extended his arms and wrapped them both around your waist to keep you warm. Eventually you two fell fast asleep until the rain clears away.
