Adriana's POV:

I never thought that I would have fallen for the boy that always insulted me as I walked past him but things can change. Draco changed and so did I, but in order to understand our relationship I need to tell you about how it all started and most importantly how it ended.

"Hello? Earth to Adriana?" Scarlett says. "I'm sorry?" I responded as Ava shoved herself right into the compartment as we were waiting for everyone to join us. "Sorry I'm late I was too busy trying to make my way through all the first-years but what did I miss?" she said as she sat down. "Oh nothing you just missed Adriana too busy daydreaming about Cedric-" "Okay for the record I wasn't even thinking about him and where is everybody else Ava did you see anyone?" I said as she just shook her head. "No but I did get a look at Malloy and might I say he's looking pretty fit this year girls" Scarlett and I both groan and shove Ava. "Hey now I was only joking but he does look different." she says as Blaise and Pansy open the compartment. "Who looks different?" Pansy says as she squeezes past Blaise and takes a seat next to Scarlett. "Your boyfriend Malfoy, he got taller didn't he?" I say as Blaise responds, "Boyfriend? Yeah right Parkinson can keep dreaming but yes he did get taller over the holidays." As we all continued talking about the holidays and how we spent them, the one and only person that was everyone's topic of interest knocked. "Mind if I join?" he said as he sat down before any of us could say no. "Oh yes come inside and join us Draco said literally no one" Ava responded as he just rolled his eyes and ignored everyone except for Blaise and Pansy. It was a long ride to Hogwarts so I decided to take a nap until we got there.

"Get up Adriana we're here" I heard Pansy say. As i opened my eyes I realized that Draco and Blaise were gone already. We all gathered our belongings and made our way to the castle. As we were walking inside everything felt weird as if I was entering for the first time. " Adriana hurry up slow poke, I want to get settled in so we could all do something fun!" Scarlett said as she pushed me up towards the stairs. "Alright Scarlett calm down" I giggled as we all went to the dorm. Did I mention that Ava, Scarlett, Pansy and I have been friends since we were first-years? Yeah and we bonded a little more later since we all had been sorted into the Slytherin house along with Blaise and Draco. I opened the door to our dormitory to reveal our four beds. "Alright last one to get settled in is a rotten egg!" we all laughed as Ava was actually rushing to put all of her things up. As soon as everybody was settled in we all just kind of waited for something to happen. I was looking out the window when someone's owl appeared, "Is anyone expecting a letter?" I saw everyone shake their head as I took the letter from the watching it fly away.

Meet me in the library we have some catching up to do.

I smiled forgetting the girls were waiting to see who it was from, "Well? Who was it?" Scarlett asked. "It was from Cedric," I said as all the girls jumped up and down with excitement. "Adriana oh my gosh you've been literally dreaming of Cedric Diggory since we were first-years and now he's writing to you! He fancies you!" Ava exclaimed as the others started asking way too many questions. "He probably just wants to talk about the holidays and all, I'll see you girls after," I said as I made my way to the library. On my way there I bumped in to no other than- "And where do you think you're going Adriana?" I sighed as I recognized his snarky little voice anywhere. "None of your business Malfoy now get out of my way" but he still stood in front of me. "So you want to leave without even apologizing? Filthy little mudblood." I can feel my face heating up as I just walked away. I wasn't a mudblood so I don't even know why he calls me that. My parents could literally destroy his if they wanted to but sadly they're friends. Whatever I already took myself that I wasn't going to let a privileged snotty white boy ruin my school year. As I got into the library I wandered around the stacks of books until I saw Cedric sitting waiting for me. "Adriana hi," "Hi Cedric, um I got your letter." he just chuckled at me. Duh Adriana of course you got his letter why else would you be here? I sat down as he started to talk again "I wrote you during the holidays but I don't think you ever got it seeing as you didn't respond" I shyly looked down, "Honestly I did receive it but I just busy helping my mother with her duties you know since she works for the Ministry?" "Oh yes of course, well I just wanted an explanation for why you didn't write me." We shared an awkward silence before I got up again and said "Well it was nice talking to you Cedric but I have to get back," "Wait Adriana-" he started as I was turned around to face him again. He took a deep breath, "Can I meet you again? Maybe tomorrow for breakfast?" I could tell he was a little nervous to ask so I said yes. "Sure, meet you at 7:45?" He nodded his head as I turned around. "Wait, let me walk you back to the common room. It would be rude if I didn't." I smiled at him and he walked me back. Cedric was so charming and sweet, he was possibly the most nicest person here. "Well here we are, I'll see you tomorrow Cedric." " See you tomorrow Adriana." I smiled as I went into the common room and back to the dorm. Not even a second went by before I got bombarded with questions, "What did he say?" "Did he say he fancied you?" "Did he ask you on a date?" I just laughed as Scarlett, Ava and Pansy were trying to figure out what happened. "Girls, he just wanted to know why I didn't write him back in the summer-" Ava grabbed me by my shirt, " Adriana you didn't write the boy back? What is wrong with you!" "I got nervous okay? I knew I should've wrote him but I got too nervous." They all groaned as I said that. "But he did ask me to have breakfast with him tomorrow," I said as they all cheered. "Finally I was wondering when he was going to ask you to do something with him!" Scarlett said as I just laughed at her. We all laughed until I spoke up again, "Okay so it's 4pm and there's still nothing to do?" " Well.... never mind." Scarlett said as she looked at Pansy. "No no don't start Scarlett, what have you and Pansy been planning?" Ava said as Pansy and Scarlett just looked at each other. " Well technically we didn't plan it, we simply just gave the idea to Blaise and Draco," Ava and I both sighed. "There's going to be a party in the common room at 8pm and we are all expected to be there" Pansy said. Ava and I groaned again as they shushed us both up. " Don't be a bunch of moaning myrtles! It's going to be fun!" Scarlett said as she hugged us both. " No Scarlett, I didn't even pack for a party because I didn't want to go to any this year. They always end up out of control." Ava stated as I continued, "Yeah I didn't pack either." Pansy and Scarlett were just eyeing us both up and down before opening their wardrobe and looking around. Ava and I were confused until we had dresses thrown at us. "Those should be your sizes! Pansy and I prepared just in case of a situation like this." Ava and I groaned knowing we couldn't get ourselves out of this now. "Fine, we'll go but we're doing our own makeup because last year Scarlett made us look like a bunch of slags." I said as Scarlett gasped, "Well I thought you looked lovely and shaggable but fine." We laughed as we all started getting ready for the Slytherin house party, what could go wrong?
