The date was March 4th, 2021. It was a chilly afternoon in Negi Root City. Ashleigh Nelson (Astray) was just returning home from a long day at work. In case you don't remember, she's a teacher working at Dreamy Vocal Elementary. She got out of her car and walked into her home that she shares with her boyfriend Landon Houseman (Holy Lancer). She saw him sleeping on the couch and their 9 kids are nowhere to be found.
Astray: The kids must be upstairs.
She walked closer to Landon and kissed him on the cheek, waking him up.
Holy Lancer: You're home.
Astray: Yep. I'm home.
Holy Lancer: How was work?
Astray: Pretty good. Guess what? We did arts and crafts today, and one of the kids gave me this.
She handed Landon a picture. On it were the words "Happy Birfday, Ms. Nelson!" And the picture was a child drawing containing the entire first grade class of 24 kids that Ashleigh teaches and Ashleigh herself.
Holy Lancer: They spelled birthday wrong.
Astray: Well, they're only 6 or 7 years old. They're still learning how to spell big words like birthday.
Holy Lancer: I see. Well, that's pretty cute.
Astray: Yeah. I was thinking of hanging it up somewhere. Where would be the best place?
Holy Lancer: Hmm...how about on the refrigerator? That seems like a good spot.
Astray: Okay.
She found a refrigerator magnet and hung up the drawing.
Astray: Perfect.
Holy Lancer: And you also get a "Happy Birthday" from me.
He kissed her. She kissed back. And so, Landon and Ashleigh spent the rest of the day together with their kids.
Jaden: And that's a wrap. My contribution to the March 4th birthday one-shots is finished. Only Tammy and Cleopatra need to do their parts. I'll see you guys next time!
