Chapter 11

Chapter 11

We got the call on Thursday night. I got the news that my grandma passed away from kidney failer.(A/N: In loving memory of my Grandma Trigg who resently passed away) I wasn't very close to her but, a grandma is a grandma. And I was sad. I cried and so did the rest of my family. We are getting packed to go to Kansas for the funeral. I went to the little closet in my room and got together a bag. I asked my mom if we were going to come back and she said in about a week. So that we can stay with grandpa until he gets to feeling better.

I grabed some of my cloths and put them in the bag. I need to call Luke. I went to my phone and scrolled to his number and pressed send. "Hello" he answered. "Hey it's me, I was just calling to tell you that I have to leave tomarrow" I said. "Oh no why?" he asked. "My grandma just passed and I need to go to her funeral" I said. "Oh will you be back?" he asked. I'm glad he didn't say the classic responce 'I'm sorry' that annoys the heck out of me. Why sould they be sorry? It's not like they could have prevented it. "Yeah in a few weeks" I said. "Well will you call and text me?" he asked. "Of course, I will" I said, why wouldn't I? "Okay bye" I said. "Bye, I'll talk to you later" he said. I hung up.

I set my phone down and thought about being gone I don't want to just leave without having a proper good bye. I went into the living room and told mom where I was going. I walked out of the door and came to his. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door. His mom answered the door. "What do you need dear?" she asked. "Oh I just came to say good bye to Luke and, and, I guess thats all" I  said with a laugh at my studdering. "Well come on in" she said with a smile. I returned the smile and stepped in. "Honey, Zoey is hear" she called in the direction of his room. He steped out and waved me in. I went into his room and went to set down on the bed. He came and sat next to me. "I came say good bye the right way" I said. He started to say somthing but then he stoped and started to lean into me. I was kinda getting panicy. His lips gently brushed mine and started to relax. After a short while we pulled away. He smiled at me and I blushed. He is only my second kiss. "Well I better go" I said. He leaned in again and I was a little worried. In my head Im like, What the heck you kiss me once and you think you can go all make out on me. But instead of kissing me pulled me in for a hug. "I'll miss you" he said. "I'll miss you too" I said into his ear. I walked out the door. When I got to my door I tried to get the smile of my face. I got on, what I thought was a convincing frown. I went in and rushed to my room. I got there before any one saw me. I closed my door and sighed in relif. It would not have been good to be caught smiling like a maniac when your grandma just died. The thought makes me sad. I went to my closet and got the last things packed. I set my packed bags on my bed.

I went and helped Natalie pack her bags. She and Ana had not know grandma at all. That makes me sad too. She didn't get to meet all her grandchildren. I got all her cloths packed and did the same with Ana's. Normaly mom would do the packing but, she has been really shacken by the loss of her mother. Dad has been gone for a while, he said he was on buisness but, it has been a long time since he has called. It gets mom worried too.

We are going to drive to Kansas. I don't know why. It would have been easier to just go on a plane. The drive itself will take us two days. Mom got our cooler and all the emtertainment stuff ready and I  got situated in the front set. Mom looked at me and sighed. "Hun, theres something I need to tell you" she said. "Okay' I said with a raise of the eyebrow. "Your dad isn't coming back, he cheated on me and I found out. I didn't want to tell you, I thought you would be mad" she said. I couldn't say anything I was in complete shock. I had never even thought of that. I was silent for most of the trip.

I'm sorry that it is so short. I have never posted a chapter this short but, it had alot of sadness in it. So I hope it makes up for the lack of material there. I give a shout out to my brother and sister, aestras and acstras. They are the best.
