Knock, Knock. "I'll get it" I yelled to mom.  It was my package of room decor. "What's that?" Mom asked. "Oh, it my vines and LED lights I ordered." " But don't you already have LED lights," "yeah but I need the extension for them" but it wasn't, it was a bi flag. My mom is homophobic, my dad well, he left my mom when I was 7. I'm 16 years old now.  I have a problem where am I gonna put the flag without my mom noticing, I can't put it somewhere noticeable. I have the perfect spot, behind my door. "There done!" I whispered to myself.

My dog came into my room, "hey Bailey" I said in a high pitched voice. I place her up onto my bed. "Jazzy, come here please" my mom yelled from downstairs. "Coming" I replied while running down the stairs. "K so I got a interview in Chicago, are you ok staying here by yourself for the weekend?" WHAT! she can't just leave me here all alone. "Yeah, I'll be fine. Just text me when you get there" "Ok and if you need anything there will be $100 on the counter and text me if you need anything. Oh and I'm leaving tomorrow."

I ran back up to my room and did some homework. "Ugh, I hate math" I complained. I finally finished and I logged onto my laptop to watch Netflix. "Jazzy, dinner" my mom yelled. Today we are having lasagna, my favorite. At the dinner table my mom mentioned Chicago. She said if she liked the job we will have to move. I don't really care since most my friends are toxic, for example, we got Brittney. She always makes a excuse on why she can't come over to my house. But I am gonna miss Cassidy, she's always there for me, and she is really pretty. But I think I'll be able to make new friends.

As we finished up with dinner, my mom asked me about my homework. "Did you finish you homework?" Mom asked. "Ya, it was kinda hard but I got through it" "good, I don't want your grades going down." All my mom cares about are my grades. Apparently "good grades mean good life" I don't even care about my grades, I just care about living life like a normal teenager. I have a strict mom. She dress codes me, make sure I do my homework and she doesn't let me go hangout with people she doesn't know.

It was 9:30pm when I started talking to my mom after dinner. It was about Chicago again. "Hey, I just finished packing what surviner do you want? Snow globe, hoodie or t-shirt." Mom asked. "I'll take a hoodie but I want it over-sized." "ok, I'm leaving tomorrow morning. It's the weekend so I'll probably be gone by the time you wake up." "Can you wake me up before you leave?" "sure." Did my mom really have to get a job across the country, I thought. I might of over thought a bit.

The next morning My mom left for Chicago. I went down stairs to eat breakfast, I had toast. After I ate, I went to the living room to watch Grey's Anatomy. Bailey started barking because she saw a dog through the widow. "Bailey! stop barking." I yelled. A couple hours went by and I did some research about Chicago. I'm kinda excited to go. New city, new me. I thought.
