7 Years Later

Sara is very good about telling me the logistics of her missions, until now. She said she had a simple mission, act single and vulnerable, not get a new girlfriend. She told me her mission but left out a crucial part. I caught her making out with another girl, I didn't let the kids go near her. A few days later she was back from her mission and I just did what I was doing, not even acknowledging she was home.

Once the kids fell asleep I took her outside and told her what I saw, I didn't tell my dads. I already had divorce papers written up, she keeps the apartment, and I take the kids. We went back inside and I started packing, then Sara asked, "Where are you going?"

I just responded, "I already found a couple places. I just can't believe you, have the past 13 years meant nothing to you?"

The next morning I get the kids ready and we go to stay with Luna and Leo. After I met her she was always there for me, my moms were also willing to help me. They all told me not to worry about how close it was to Christmas, just to get back on my feet. I'm lucky I met them, they helped me find a job and get the kids to school. It's been a wild year, it felt nice to find my family, willing to help at a drop of a hat.

Now it's Christmas, I've thought over a lot of things, like maybe I'm not a lesbian, I think I'm bisexual. I've kinda been talking to this amazing guy. The kids have met him and they get excited whenever I say he's coming over. So I bet you can imagine the look they had when I told them he was celebrating Christmas with us. It feels like he's the only one outside my family I can talk to.

Oddly enough, he also just got out of a relationship, he has shared custody for his kids though, but he has them for Christmas. His girls are so adorable and my daughter's best friend.
