It was Wednesday Morning, Dabi was snoring in his sleep by the time you got up. It was 9 am, you headed into the bathroom and turned the shower on to hop in. The steam filled up the bathroom quickly, hot showers were the best, especially when you had a lot on your mind. You were deep into thought about whether or not joining the OLV was the best decision for yourself, how would affect everyone including Keigo. He didn't hesitate to kick you out of the gang, so why should you even care if you switched over. You picked up your favorite scented soap and got to scrubbing your body squeaky clean. About 20 minutes passed and you finally got out, wrapping your hair and body in separate towels and trailing out to your room to find some clothes. You forgot for a moment that Dabi had been there, your quirked sensed that someone was just staring you down from head to toe. Once you turned around he was sitting up in your bed, shirt off, eyes locked on to you. You grabbed what you wanted to wear and headed back into the bathroom to change. Soon as you stepped out, Dabi wasn't looking up anymore, more so fixated on his phone like usual. Probably getting a list of things he has to do for Shigaraki for today.
"Why'd you put your clothes on? I like it better when you're naked." His eyes were still glued to his phone. You sat down next to him and rolled your eyes at his comment disregarding what he had just said.
"I like it better when you don't talk, but you do that a lot more often these days." You threw a pillow at his face causing him to look up at you. You were smiling, him seeing you light up like that made him feel like giving you everything you ever wanted, but he can't... he won't. "Did Shigaraki give you a lot to do today?"
He shrugged. He didn't necessarily think that tasks that Shigaraki gave him were "a lot." He didn't care, obviously.
"Nah, it's actually less than usual. I'll probably be done before 5. Do you want me to stop by later after?" He's so direct.
"Uh yeah, sure if you want."
"Okay." He got up and grabbed his shirt and threw it back on. "I hope you'll have your mind made up later, I gotta report back to Shigaraki with your answer soon." You nodded and he was out the door. You laid back in bed and started thinking. Is this the right decision? No. Will I regret this one day? Probably.
You missed the gang more than you anticipated. It's barely been three days and you couldn't stop thinking about them. How they're doing, how practices are going, how everyone is gonna meet up at Dirty Dogs tomorrow without you...
It saddened you to even picture your life without them, but Keigo always told you everything happens for a reason.
Why is he always right?

Flashback, Still Y/N's Pov:6 years ago, a month before the Burning Feathers became a gang.
"Keigo. We have a month to prepare for our first ever race... I don't think our moves need to be perfected just yet." You sighed seeing how determined he was to get everything together. Keigo just bought the yard house, where you guys would be practicing and meeting up before the races. There was so much land area in the back that you guys were able to get ramps, rails, etc. For everyone to practice with.
"I know that Y/N, but don't you want to be the best? Everyone here is far too good to just be some rejects who know how to ride motorcycles."
"Yes Keigo, but I think you're overthinking this just a bit. I know we're gonna do great."
He sighed and rested his hand on your shoulder and looked you directly in your eyes. "We've been thinking about this our whole lives Y/N. I'm just excited to see all of us do what we love most. I want everything to perfect before next month because I don't want you guys to have to worry or something be wrong. I want us to be able to go in and just focus on the races." He smiled.
"I know Keigo. I wonder what our parents would think of us if they saw us now."
"Pretty sure they'd be happy to know we remained best friends, and we're carrying their legacy down with us. I'm sure they're proud." The both of you looked up at the sky remembering how you and your parents both were bikers, the best in Japan at that before you guys came along and took that title. You both knew you had made them proud.
"Come on, We gotta go meet up with the rest of the gang. Rumi said she found this cool new spot that just opened up not too far from here. I think it's called Dirty Dogs? Weird name for a restaurant but we should get going."

Present:
Tears started falling from your eyes instantly as you remembered everything you and Keigo had gone through together... the reasons why you loved racing so much. It made you angry knowing the both of you easily just threw everything away like it meant absolutely nothing to both of you. You were so enraged, it was like everything the both of you worked for was useless. You and Keigo argued a lot as kids, but one of you always crawled back apologizing... it made you wonder if those apologies were just being sad because of the tie of your parents keeping you two together. Everything he said started to feel like lies, started to feel like maybe he was the one lying the entire time and was looking for an opening just so he could leave you in the dust. You didn't want to believe the emotions you were feeling right now but they all felt too true... felt too real. You got up and looked at yourself in the mirror, your face was stained with tears. You couldnt help but laugh at yourself, how you ended up here, and how everything is solely your fault. But you also couldnt help but laugh at the fact that you and Keigo would never be friends again... because now he's your enemy.
