"Test""Testing... One, Two..."
"Please nod if you can hear me correctly." The voice says coming through a speaker. It sounds like a woman maybe in her late twenties or early thirties.
I nod.
"I am going to ask you a series of questions. Please answer honestly." she says to me and the speaker makes a deafening shriek. I cover my ears for a moment before nodding once again.
"What is your name?"
I narrow my eyes, uncomfortable with this situation but if I don't comply and answer I am afraid of what could happen.
I shift in the metal chair I'm sitting in, "My name is Hana but my middle name is Andi and I prefer to go by that name." I respond blankly.
"Any particular reason why?" she questioned.
She is awfully nosy. I don't see how this is relevant to the situation. "I just like the name better." I lied trying to keep my tone the same.
There was a brief pause and then she spoke again. "How old are you?" She asks me.
"I'm sixteen." I mumbled. Most people tend to think I'm younger since I'm on the shorter side.
"Hm. What do you know about the Unseen?"
That was unexpected. I did not think she'd throw a question like that until later but she's probably just trying to get a reaction out of me.
"Nothing. I've never heard of the Unseen before." I lie straight through my teeth. "You do know it is illegal to question a minor without a parent or guardian present right?" I taunted. "I also believe I am entitled to a phone call?" I stood up and walked over to the huge metal door.
"Fine." You could practically cut rock with how sharp her tone was.
Beep! The door made a weird noise and opened. I walked out and didn't see anyone until I spotted him.
"%!¥$!" I yelled.
