(A). Synopsis(あらすじ):

Kousei Arima is a child who is gifted in playing the piano, who always dominates in competitions and makes him famous among the young musicians. After his mother and instructor passed away, he suffered a mental breakdown in the middle of a piano performance at the age of 11. The trauma suffered by him caused him to lose the ability to hear the sound of a piano clatter even though he physically sounded fine. Two years have passed, Kousei has never touched his piano and thinks of his world as a monotonous world without color. He also seemed to let go of his life and only interacted closely with his two best friends: Tsubaki Sawabe and Ryota Watari, until one day, he met someone who changed his life and gave back color to his life: Kaori Miyazono.

Kaori is a violinist of Kousei's age who is cheerful and full of enthusiasm and has a free and expressive style of playing music; contrary to Kousei's rigid and structured playing style. Gradually, Kaori leads Kousei back into the world of music and shows that playing music is something that needs to be infused with feelings and imagination. Kousei also slowly finds new meaning in his musical playing and also puts feelings of love for Kaori, without realizing that there is a reason for Kaori to lead Kousei back to the world of music.

The manga Your Lie in April was written and drawn by Naoshi Arakawa, and began serialization on April 6, 2011 in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine. The first volume was published by Kodansha on 16 September 2011, and the final volume was printed in two editions, a regular edition and a limited edition including an original animated video (OVA) on 15 May 2015.
