Kerri
I can't fucking believe him. I can't freaking believe it's been two weeks and I still haven't gotten over this shit.
"Bottom's up!" I downed another shot of Tequila.
It was a Wednesday night and I was out with Susie getting wasted. Maybe if I drink just enough, the consuming thoughts of Spencer will disappear. With that in mind, I took a sip of some baby blue concoction.
"Hey sexy," I rolled my eyes at the husky, trying-too-hard voice. I sipped some more of my drink before turning around and latching my lips onto his.
He was very handsy. Spencer never made me feel gross when he touched me. But perhaps this is what I need. Spencer's opposite.
"Mmm. You're so hot," the guy locked my neck. I wish he'd shut the hell up and screw me already. Ugh.
His clammy hands slid down to my lower back and further down to caress my thighs. All I've been wearing to parties lately has been skirts and tight dresses. There was no doubt about what my motives were. I wanted someone to lay the pipe so well that I'd never think about the perfect asshole that just wanted to get in my pants.
He really had me fooled. Here I was thinking he actually liked me and boom; he tells me an outlandish lie to break things off. After he lays me of course, because that was his whole goal.
"Wanna get a room?" I nodded in response and followed the stranger through my friend's spacious home.
Point blank, I didn't end up sleeping with him. The only person I could see was Spencer's gorgeous face. His eyes attacked me every time I closed mine. It would be pointless to sleep with Mr. Clammy Hands if he couldn't even get Spencer out of my head during the pre-sex events.
I left the room abruptly and walked out to my car where I waited for Susie.
"Took you long enough," I groaned.
"Sorry I was trying to enjoy myself," she rolled her eyes at me. Susie was probably tired of my recent bitchy attitude. She had Spencer to blame for it. "We need to go get some pot to get your ass to relax."
It was quiet except for The Weeknd blasting out of the speakers. "Look, I know you've had your heart broken but you can not take it out on us innocent civilians," she chuckled and smiled at me. "I love you sweetie and want you to be happy. This recent shit that you've been doing won't make the memories disappear."
"It's worth a try."
"Sure but we've surpassed 'trying' after the first four times. You're forcing it. It's like you're trying to fit a cylinder into a square opening. It is not happening."
"Thanks for the support."
"This summer is not about your shitty relationship problems. I have been here for you Kerri and all you can think of is your fucking self. Guess what? I have a boyfriend. A boyfriend! I don't even know how to have one of those things. I'm scared as hell that I'll fuck it up and I want to talk to my best friend about it, but she's too preoccupied trying to get rid of something that will never leave.
"Clearly you two need to talk because he has fell off his rocker too," she took a deep breath. Is she saying that she's been in contact with the enemy?! I glared over at her then focused back on the road. "Laurie says the poor boy hasn't even left his room. She said he's starting to lose weight and just wants a chance to explain himself."
"And?" Who cares about stupid Spencer and his stupid weight? He's just a stupid, stupid man with no feelings or regards for others.
"And you two should talk!"
"No."
Susie remained silent. A silent Susie is a pissed one.
"Fuck it then! Just forget about it. Take me home."
I turned around from the street that led me closer to home and made a right onto her street.
"There."
Susie slammed the door and marched angrily up the steps to her front porch.
"I hate my life," I muttered.

Next one will be happy ;)
