A New Year with New Promises

Hey guys I'm here with a new story that's not in any way related to my other ShiroMichi story 'Conflicting Thoughts or True Feelings'. More in what happened at the end notes of THIS story.

However it does build off the already established Humans living in Anima-City plot point in that story.

With that finally explained let's get to the new story. I really hope you enjoy it.

Today was New Year's Eve for Anima-City and Michiru was excited because that meant she got to see how Beastmen got to celebrate. However since it was a very big holiday she knew Nazuna was bound to be busy. Because of that she decided to pester Shirou and see if he could celebrate in the city with her. Which she was currently on her way to Mayor Rose's office to do just that.

With Shirou
Shirou was currently at Mayor Rose's office because he had just finished his task for the day and just got the okay to take the rest of the day off and attend the New Years festival. Maybe, probably... hopefully?

"So Ogami-kun will you be attending?" Mayor Rose asked hoping he would.

"I wasn't planning to but then I realized that Michiru is most likely going to beg me to go, so it's not like I have a choice." Shirou said the last part in slight annoyance.

"Even if it does seem like a chore to go I truly hope you enjoy it." Mayor Rose said with concern in her voice. What Shirou said gave off the impression of an introverted Wolf. A bit ironic given a Wolf's nature in a pack.

"We'll just have to wait and see." Shirou said as he was getting up to leave. Mayor Rose watched him leave and smiled softly. 'Ogami-kun, please at least try and enjoy tonight.'

Shirou left the building and wasn't surprised to see Michiru waiting for him at the bottom, a wide smile on her face. It really didn't help that Shirou knew what she was going to ask.

"Shirou-san do you have time right now?" she asked.

"Yeah Mayor Rose just told me to take the rest of the day off." Shirou said as if he were tired as always.

"But I already know what you want to ask me. Just to get it over with, yes I'll go to the New Years Festival with you." Michiru was caught off guard by his answer to her question.

"Really? Are you serious?" she asked still astonished.

"Yeah." Shirou suddenly found himself in a tight hug.

"Thank you so much Shirou-san." Michiru's voice was full of relief.

At first Shirou wasn't too keen on being hugged. However this one felt good. Giving him this warm feeling in his chest. He smiled very faintly and hugged her back.

"But first I want you to dress appropriately." Michiru said making the Wolf confused.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"I want you to wear a Kimono~." she said in a teasing tone. Michiru then let go of Shirou to see his reaction. Only to find him completely dumbfounded by her request.

"Fine I'll wear one." Shirou reluctantly agreed.

"Yay I knew you would say yes!" Michiru resumed hugging Shirou tightly.

"Well I still have stuff to do so meet me in front of Beast Co-Op at 8 tonight okay?" Michiru asked as she let go of him.
"Okay." With that Michiru and Shirou parted ways.
