my english teacher gave us the prompt "imagine if.." and this is what I came up with, enjoy :)
and no my teacher is not reading the fanfic to give me a grade-
The sentence had been uttered multitudes of times before, two words that had been used so many times before, and yet, he felt they had only been said once.
As he laid in the field, the dewy blades of green tickled his bare skin with the winds whisping by his ears, his words carried like a song on the wind.
"Imagine if.."
Again, he said it again. This time louder as if the world could her, but yet it was only for one. One, a simple yet lonely word yet here it meant so much more. The words breathlessly escaped his lips once more, "Imagine if.."
The winds whisped the words, fluttering past listening ears as he sighed, once again it was said again.
"Imagine if.."
Xiao sat on his knees in the ruins of mondstat, holding his lovers lifeless body in his arms, hands and face covered in blood. Ventis eyes laid shut, so beautiful as he always was xiao thought, tho they would never open again.
A coarse croak escaped the adeputs's lips.
"Imagine what?"
