Empire (Fresh Meat)

Chapter one

There I was on the streets of Manhattan singing my life away as any other day I would play a couple tunes and sing some originals that I came up with just for my own entertainment and for the people of New York
As I was finished for the night I began to start packing up my guitar when someone put 100 dollars in my guitar case as I looked up the one and only Lucious Lyon stood above me

"Oh my god you're you're-"

"Lucious Lyon" he said cutting me off

"Yes oh my god I'm a huge fan of your work its absolutely inspiring to me" I said trying to catch my breath

"Well thank you I'm flattered and I must say that your voice is very extraordinary"

"Umm thank you it means a lot coming from you" I said still trying to comprehend what's happening here

"No problem, what's your name?" He asked

"Umm Amanda, Amanda Gray"

"It's nice to meet you Amanda" he said shaking my hand

"Like wise it's an honor"

"Now Amanda, what would you say if I were to offer you a record deal at Empire?"

"Oh my god are you serious!?" I said unable to contain my smile

"I'm very serious I travel anywhere to find new upcoming artists like yourself and it would be an honor to work with you for me to do everything I can to make you a star so are you in?" He asked

"Yes I'm totally in"

"Good now follow me and we'll be on our way"

"Okay"

I hopped into Lucious' limo and we made our way to Empire Industry where I'll finally be able to make it big and show the world what I can do

"Here we are" he said

"Wow! It's amazing" I said stepping out of the limo with my guitar

"It is isn't it? C'mon follow me inside"

"Sure"

We walked into the entrance of Empire and the inside was to die for Lucious led me into a room where it looked like a meeting was taking place

"Attention everyone, I would like everyone to meet Empire's new young artist, Amanda Gray" he introduced

"Hello" I said shyly

"Welcome" everyone said simultaneously

"Hi sweetie" a short black haired woman said

"Hi"

"I'm Anika Gibbons Lucious' fiancée" she said shaking my hand

"Nice to meet you" I said

"You too honey we're very happy to work with you" she said

"Like wise"

"Yo dad have you seen my-"

"Amanda, this is my son Hakeem Lyon he's Empire's upcoming rapper and Hakeem this is Amanda our new artist"

"Sup it's nice to meet you Amanda" he did smiling

"You too and I know who you were before you father introduced you to me" I said smirking

"Oh then welcome to empire"

"Thank you"

"Ok Amanda let's take you into here so that my workers and I can ask you a few questions about your music" Lucious said leading me
into the room
