Another year in hell, great. I got up after my mom yelled at me for the 20th time this morning to get up. I lazily took off my pajamas and slid on some black skinny jeans and a Fall Out Boy shirt. After I put on some mismatched socks and my studded boots, I walked over to my dresser and big mirror.

'Ugh, I look so stupid.' I thought to myself as I looked at the mirror with a disgusted stare. I quickly put on my black eyeliner all the way around my eyes and smudged it a bit. As I ran my fingers through my light purple hair, I jumped as my mom yelled from the kitchen, "Come on sweetie I already started the car!"

"Okay mom, I'll be down in a second," I yelled back as I fixed my jacket before I got tackled by her trying to fix it.

My mom is a nice lady, but she always goes out of her way to make everything perfect. Even the tiniest thing like my earring is slightly tilted.

Anyways, I ran downstairs after grabbing by black studded book bag and lunch. I hopped into the car and put on my headphones quickly to avoid awkward silence or any kind of conversation. I know that may seem rude, but my mom doesn't talk to me much in the car anyways.

time skip: 10 minutes later

"Okay, bye mom," I mumbled as I got out of the car.

"Bye sweetie, have a good day," she yelled back, loud enough that the two cars in front of us heard it too.

I rolled my eyes and slammed the door closed. When I turned around, I bumped into something hard and fell down onto the damp wood chips. I looked up and saw one of the popular kids. Brown hair brown eyes and a blue shirt. I didn't know his name but I know he was one of the people in the "popular group" who always bullied me.

He looked worried when he looked down at me but 2 seconds later, he yelled,"Oi watch where you're goin' kid!"

I stared at him as he walked away. I don't think he ever really joined in on the beatings everyday unless he was forced to. You could tell he hated hurting people.

I got up and walked into the big black doors. Though, when I walked in, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I hid behind a sign and peeked through a hole in the wood. I saw the popular kid I just bumped into being beaten down by the other populars. They were treating him the same way they treated me.

When they walked away, I quickly came out from behind the sign and ran over the boy. He was quite cute to be honest.

I held out my hand to help him up. "Hey, I'm Levi. Whats your name?"

He hesitantly took my hand and said,"Uh, hi. I'm Charlie. Thanks."

"No problem," I said.

Just then, I looked out the window and saw the populars coming back to get Charlie. I looked over to him and he seemed to be pretty scared.

I grabbed his hand again as I said, "Run."

I started running out the front door, dragging him behind me. We ran for about 5 minutes, but finally ended up at an abandoned library the school doesn't use anymore. I would always hide here so nobody could find me.

We crouched down into the corner of the library, where it was the darkest. We were so close together that I could feel his breathe on my cheek from him being out of breathe.

He looked over at me with said and scared eyes. I had no idea what he was about to do.

Charlie wrapped his arms around me and started crying on my shoulder. I froze for a second in disbelief, then hugged him tightly.

"What- What did I d-do to des-deserve this?" He said through his sobs.

I shushed him and rocked him back and forward, trying to do my best at calming him down.

After about 5 minutes, his sobs came to an end and he pulled away. "Sorry, I got your shirt wet," he said as he pointed to my shoulder.

"Its okay don't worry about it," I said, "But do you mind telling me what happened?"

"Well..."
