The archangels end

3000 years ago Britannia

The Demon Clan, one of the strongest clans in all of Britannia. Their very name struck terror into the hearts of the bravest of people.

Even among these fearsome beasts, there were a bunch who far outclassed the other demons. They were the 10 highest-ranking demons, elite soldiers handpicked by the Demon King himself. They were called "the Ten Commandments". And even among these, there was one who outclassed the rest. He was Meliodas, the next in line to be the demon king. The strongest of them all, the Archangel's worst fear. Trained by the great Chandler himself, Meliodas had no equivalent ...except one......

"A portal from a new world!" exclaimed Zeref, "What should I do now...?" Caution evident on his face, yet curiosity sparkling in his eyes. He whispered to himself, "Well I guess that there is only one way to find out," Even as he spoke, a huge gust of wind and sheer mana power emitted from inside the portal. Zeref's cloak billowed and he was nearly swept off his feet. s his eyes opened wide, a blast swept him fully off, causing him to fly away. "Where is this magical power coming from?" He wondered, scared out of his mind. "Only one way to find out," He reasoned as he entered the portal.

In the Demon realm

"I can't believe that we got sealed," Estarossa muttered, although he did not seem much too concerned with it.

"Silence, Estarossa," Meliodas grunted, grinding his teeth.

"What's your problem? You know that we were sealed because you lost to Mael," Estarossa complained, clearly disappointed.

"No Estarossa, that is what Gowther's magic would lead you to think," Meliodas declared, smirking.

"Huh, what are you talking about?" Estarossa enquired.

"I know you are confused so let me explain," Meliodas proclaimed condescendingly.

Flashback

Meliodas was out on a mission to save the demons the goddesses held hostage. He had managed to save the hostages but it turned out to be a trap. He desperately flew trying to get away, as the shining orb appeared on the horizon. Even as he flew, two blurs of white shot up in front of him. "Finally, Meliodas has arrived," Tarmiel guffawed.

Before Meliodas could respond, Sariel, Grace of Tornado interjected, "and now it is time for your demise."

"Don't make me laugh as if you are a match for me," Meliodas taunted, practically laughing at them.

"That may be true, but we have Mael with us," Sariel replied, equally cocky and true to his words, Mael appeared in the sky, in a huge blaze of light.

"If you guys are going to come at me, at least try to make things interesting," Meliodas mocked and his demon mark slowly appeared on his head. A dark blaze of energy was emitted from Meliodas, sending shivers down the spines of Sariel and Tamriel.

"Let us begin then," Mael declared as he and the other archangels flew towards him. The first one to attack was Sariel, and after a few clashes, Meliodas realized that the angel's protective wind tornado prevented him from being able to hurt him. He then decided to cover his fist in darkness and punched right through Sariel's tornado, destroying his left eye. Sariel fell to the forest floor, screaming in pain.

"Sariel" Tarmeil yelled in shock before darting after him.

"Kami Chigiri," Meliodas said smirking sadistically, slashing his sword at Tarmiel, engulfing him in dark purple flames. Tarmiel fell to the forest floor badly beaten with smoke coming off him.

"That leaves me and you, Mael," Meliodas said, bloodlust clearly evident in him.

"Well, I would declare that unfortunate for you," Mael said," You see, it is almost noon" And true to his word the sun started to rise to its highest point in the sky.

Suddenly a bright light was emitted from the sun, causing Meliodas to shield his eyes. Mael's power skyrocketed and Meliodas was actually starting to get worried. "I guess it's time to get serious. This ends now!" Meliodas proclaimed and darkness surrounded him. His clothes disappeared and he was covered in darkness. Meliodas has transformed into his famed assault mode.

"You are right, this does end now," Mael said flaring up to full power, now completely covered in flames. They flew at each other at high speeds and clashed, sending out shockwaves and completely destroying the landscape. "Cruel Sun" Mael said. Meliodas saw the attack and prepared to use his special ability, Full Counter. However, he quickly realized that he couldn't move. He looked around and saw the remaining Archangels firing a combined Ark to trap Meliodas.

"Damn it I can't break free," Meliodas said desperately, trying to destroy the sphere of light engulfing him.

"Greatest sun," Mael declared, "It is time for you demonic trash to get what you deserve" He proclaimed as his previous attack grew larger, resembling the furious fire of the sun. Meliodas, who had been able to barely keep it at bay, got engulfed by it. "Damn you Archangel bastards!!" Meliodas screamed. Slowly his excruciating screams slowly faded away.

Suddenly, however, a flash of colours played across everyone's sights and when their visions cleared, there was no sign of Meliodas.

As the angels scanned the area, they were surprised by a wail of pure agony from Luciodel. Sariel and Tarmiel both gasped in horror as they saw Luciodel next to........next to Mael's body.

Luciodel seemed heartbroken and continued sobbing. As Sariel went and comforted him, he heard him mutter "This is the work of that Gowther....".As he went towards the corpse, Luciodel looked at him and Sariel knew that he was looking into the eyes of a broken man... death. After the death of Mael, the goddesses, seeing no other option, chose to seal away the demon clan at the cost of their own physical bodies.

Don't worry all will be explained in the next chapter. And Zeref will be introduced in the world of seven deadly sins in the next chapter as well. I hope you enjoy this chapter. And a few questions. Do you want Drole and Gloxinia to join the Ten Commandments? Who do you want to see Meliodas paired with in fairy tail? I will answer one more question: yes Glariza is still alive and Gowther will be released from his prison. He will play an important role later on...
