~Next Door Neighbors au~

<this is rlly pushed, its my first one and its horrible I know so shuddup>

Chris always used to look next door at the 'for sale' sign and used to think if anyone would ever buy it.

His mom hoped that whoever were to get the house that there could be someone there for her son, maybe a nice girl his age, or a boy his age he could be the bestest of friends with. Lord knows she knew he wouldn't be friending anyone anytime soon, so maybe just maybe—.

Of course that all changed one day when Chris left his house to do his daily walk to school, something caught his eye, he noticed the sign had no longer been in its spot, and a moving trailer was parked out front.

Chris was all the more confused, honestly he never thought in a million years someone would actually get that house, the house right next to his. It was almost surreal to the boy.

He couldn't stay sadly to see who his new neighbors were, but he figured he'd get to see them when he got back, he threw his backpack over his shoulder once again before setting off to another long, boring day of school.

Karl stood outside the car with a box in his arms, looking straight up at the house. It was way bigger than their last one which Karl was excited about, he wouldn't be as lonely thats for sure—and he'd have more space to put his things.

Once he finally went inside, his mom showed him around a little before leading him to where his room would be, again- huge.

Karl set his box down by the bed and just stood for a moment, taking it all in [which in his opinion sounded kinda cringe so he just decided to call it a bit surreal].

They never lived somewhere this spacious and he honestly didn't know how to feel about it. One thing that did catch his eye however, was his window.

He took his hand and ran it across the sill, he could sit by his window again finally. The last house they lived in before he couldn't do that.

Karl opened the curtains, letting the light bleed into his room. He liked it, the sun was warm and it made him happy.

He did then look from his own window, to the one right across from him. 'Window buddies?? Maybe??' He chuckled to himself before opening the window, it was starting to get a little nippy but he didn't complain. He liked it.

Karl took one last once-over to his room and exhaled. "This is gonna be a blast."

~~~~~~
Chris was laying on his bed, playing some cheap ass game he had downloaded on his phone that morning. He did keep thinking about his new neighbors though, what were they like?? How many were there?? Did they have any children?? If they did; were they little or around his age?? Would it be a girl or boy? Or maybe one of each?? By the time his mind had stopped to take a break from those possibilities he didn't even realize how late it had gotten.
He would've preferred if they had a kid his age, at least then maybe he could make friends?? Although he wasn't big on friends but open for a possibility.
