Charlotte watches as a car in the distance crashes rolling two or three times before quickly coming to a stop, despite the urge she has to run over and check on the driver she cannot get herself to move. It's like she's frozen in place as she can feel dread slowly building up inside of her almost like she knows that the driver of the car is already gone. Eventually after building up the courage Charlotte starts walking over to the car mentally preparing herself for what she is going to see inside when she reaches the crash site. The closer she gets the more it seems as though she just wants to turn around and run away, to get rid of this awful feeling of despair that keeps building with each step she takes. 'Charlotte, they need your help, you can do this.' She thinks to herself slowly leaning down to look in through the driver's side window gasping as who she saw inside was staring back at her though already gone, the worst part being that she recognized who was in the car. "No..."
"Momma wake up!" Charlotte shoots up in bed, drenched in sweat from the dream as someone jumps on her bed landing almost right on top of her. "Who were you talking to?" Charlotte's little brother Corbin, also known as Cory, asks her as he lays next to her as he usually does in the mornings. Charlotte sighs, "No one bud it was just a dream." She tells him running her fingers through his dark red hair. "Now why don't you go get Cora and I'll help both of you finish getting ready for school." She suggests as she moves over to the edge of the bed forcing herself to get up. "Okay, Momma!" Cory says running out of the room causing Charlotte to smile to herself as she heads to her closet to pick out some clothes for the day. After choosing a simple outfit of leggings and a light sweater Charlotte headed out to the kitchen to start making breakfast for Cory and Cora before they all headed off to school. "Come on eat guys we need to leave soon." Charlotte called up the stairs to her two younger siblings. Charlotte stood there for a moment in silence that was almost deafening at that point until she heard footsteps running down the hall towards the stairs followed by the quiet giggling which usually meant no good. "Good morning momma!" Cora chirps joyfully giving Charlotte a hug when she reaches the bottom of the stair that to the small girl seems larger than what it truly is. "Good morning baby, how did you sleep?" Charlotte asks Cora running her hand through the child's dark red hair that is identical that that of her twin brother. "Good!" Cora says taking off towards the kitchen after her brother. Charlotte laughs to herself as she follows both of her siblings into the kitchen to help them with their breakfast so they could head out the door on time to make it to school.
"Both of you have a good day at school I will see you at four." Charlotte tells Corbin and Cora children outside the door of their kindergarten classroom. "We will momma!" They say at the same time causing Charlotte to smile as they both turn around and run into the room without another word, eager to start playing with the other children. Taking a deep breath Charlotte stands up forcing herself to head to the other side of the school where her classes would take place throughout the day. She jumps startled as someone calls her name out before she feels someone wrap their arms around her from behind. Turning around she lets out the breath that she had unknowingly been hold. "Oliver, you cannot scare me like that." She tells her best friend, Oliver Wright, who she has known since they were in the same kindergarten class almost eleven years ago. "Sorry Charlie." Oliver tells her but with the smile he has on his face Charlotte could tell that he was just saying what she wanted to hear. "Yea, yea sure." Charlotte says laughing slightly as she turns back around and they both start heading to their first class of the day, science. As they get to the door Charlotte stops for a second before talking a deep breath and walking into the classroom already wishing this day was over.
