𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏 <𝟑

"This will be my room!" I shouted loudly and burst into the largest room of the house.

This is getting so weird, I've lived in America all my life with my parents. I am an only child but it doesn't feel like that at all. My best friend Allison, who is also an only child, is with me every day, she lives halfway in my house. That's because our parents have always been very good friends. My dad and her dad were offered a new job a while ago, in London. So we all moved to London. We live with my parents and my best friend's parents together in a big house here in London.

"I'll take the room over you!" Allison shouted enthusiastically. And she immediately unpacked all her boxes where her things for her room were.

"My dear, will you please start unpacking your boxes too?" My mom asked me, and she put a few boxes at my door. I unpack the boxes and start decorating my room. 'I'm really looking forward to it, a whole new beginning' I thought to myself. I was also happy that I could do all this with my best friend.

1 hour later*

'Finally my room is ready' you sigh and plop on your bed, which you tried to assemble yourself. "Your room looks good!" Allison says and she makes a big jump and falls on your bed, but at that moment you hear a loud creak and your bed falls apart. You both start to laugh.

"What was that noise?" What happened?' My dad says worried and looks at my bed. He shakes his head and starts to laugh. "This can only happen to you," we all looked at it with a smile.

during dinner *

"And aren't you too stressed for tomorrow?" asks Allison's mom us while we eat. "Do we have to go to school tomorrow ?!" I say in a panic. "Yes, tomorrow is already Monday and then your first day of school already starts" I sigh, "I don't feel like it" "It will be easy, we'll do it together", Allison says and she winks.

'And what do you think of the house? Do you like it? My dad asked us. "Yes, it is beautiful", I said with full conviction.

It is also a very nice house, it is an old mansion but the interior has been completely renovated, everyone has a large room and a private bathroom. In America our house was much smaller, I am secretly happy with this new house. I've changed my mind.

'Are you going to get ready? It's late and you have to get up early.' Allison's mom told us. Allison and I nodded and ran upstairs.

You and Allison watch your favorite Netflix series together in your room. You are already on the last season of the series. You are secretly very addicted.

"I'll go to my own room, get an outfit ready for tomorrow, then go to sleep," Allison said and gave me a hug. "Good night" I said and turned off my laptop. I couldn't fall asleep properly because I was under a lot of stress for tomorrow. Hopefully we will make new friends soon, you thought to yourself. It wouldn't be so much fun walking around school alone with the two of you for an entire school year.

You quickly set your alarm and you fall asleep.
