-The story is based on the SCP tale, Reap what you sow.
One day a young man was looking through some papers at work. The young man worked at a place called the SCP foundation, a place where people contain anomalies objects or creatures that are not normal. Now this man was going through Scp tales and trying to see which ones are fake and which ones were real when he saw one that caught his eye, it was about Scp 1048 and Scp 2295. "Odd." The man said in a monotone voice. "Never know they had a history together." The man put the paper to the side and decided to read it later.
As the man was going to bed he remembered the paper he grabbed it and started to read, the story the paper held want something like this. "Once upon a time, a family was going to have a child. So they bought a teddy bear for their soon-to-be baby, but something was off once they brought it home. When the soon-to-be parents set the bear in the crib of their unborn baby and left the room, the bear started to move. At first, it felt nothing but then it got scared. It looked around to see other toys and saw that they were not alive like the bear. It thought to itself "Why am I alive? Why am I here?" The bear asked itself these questions over and over again, but it did not move but acted like a normal toy a baby would have when the parents were in the room. The bear did not find out why it was alive until the baby was born.
The kid was born with problems and a doctor would have to come in every week to check on him. The bear decided that the reason it was alive was to help the kid. So when the parents left the room, the bear got to work. The bear found out its talent: he could replace anything inside the human body, so it spawned a pair of scissors and sewing equipment and opened up the baby to look inside. He immediately found out the problem: everything! It was like not a bone in this kid's body was not falling. The bear fixed them little by little every night while making sure he was not caught, and eventually, the baby was good as new like he had no patchwork done to him at all as if the cloth that the bear had sawn was just another piece of skin. The doctor was surprised to see the kid working normally and soon the doctor was no longer coming to the house. The bear and the kid became best friends and made a deal that as long as the bear was the kid's friend and took care of him, the kid would help him hide his secret of being alive from his parents.
One day though this all came to an end. It was a lovely day. The bear was in the yard outside and the kid was inside when the fire alarm went off. The bear heard this and ran inside, but when he got there it was too late. The kid was already burnt up, and the fire was getting closer to them. It took a long time for the fire to reach the fire alarm, so the fire had already spread a lot before the bear came in. In other words, it was over. The kid was most likely dead already, or so the bear thought. The bear thinking that his best friend had died, just sat there and cried as the fire got closer to him.
Finally, the firemen arrived but it still took them a long time to put out the fire. It had already taken them a long time to get there because the family lived in the middle of nowhere. The parents, thinking that their kid had died, started to cry too when the adrenaline had settled. But, as the firemen came back out of the house, they said that they found no kid or even remains of one, but that they did find the teddy bear all burned up. The firemen gave the teddy bear to the parents who soon after sold it in a garage sale before moving to a new house and starting over.
A few days later, the bear woke up in a new house. It was surprised it was still alive. In front of it was a mirror and it saw itself. It looked different. Its soft brown fur was replaced with light and dark green patchwork, with a big green silky ribbon bow on to the back of its neck, instead of its normal small black bow tie. Lastly, it noticed a rad heart sewn onto its chest. Then the bear heard a low deep voice and turned around to see a man. He sounded in a hurry, but kept calm, and explained that the bear had something special about him and that it was why he had bought it. Then he apologized for the bad look he gave the bear when he first awoke, even though the bear thought nothing of it. After that, it was just darkness. The last thing the bear saw was the man putting it in a box, to send him to the SCP foundation.
As for the kid, no human ever found out what happened to him. Some thought he just became a ghost. But little did they know that the kid was still alive just as a...teddy bear!. He had started calling himself Barry before the SCP foundation found him. He now goes by SCP 1048, The builder bear. But before he even got there, the original bear had already arrived to the foundation and was renamed SCP 2295, The bear with the heart of packwork." The man finished reading with his jaw dropped. A moment pass and than he had a thought 'What if they were to meet again after who know how long.' He then remembered that some Scp tales are fake, but he doesn't know if its fake or not, so to determine if it was fake or not he plans to make them have a cross test and see how they react to each other.
