Chapter 10: Moonlight

I asked everyone to go on ahead of me I know someone is ten to twelve feet from me watching out in the distance. Raven and Felix don't let me alone. They are there no matter what. Cindy seems a lot happier now she and Connor are together. I think her brother kicked her out of their pack for not having a mate. What he did is immature. Yes mom likes him but still he needs to be mature.

I kick the leaves around me then sit on the log on ground waiting for Emma and Kay-Kay to come out of hiding. Thankfully they know about them so they leave me alone for the time being. Kay Kay comes out running full speed and pounces on me licking me to death. I laugh at him. When he gets older the girl he's going to be with is going to have a handful.

Emma walks out she rarely comes out in her human form. "Hey I heard what happened, you alright?"

I pet Kay Kay behind the ear. "Yeah I'm fine." He smiles and runs off then comes back in his human form.

"Look look I found a feather!" He puts it in my hands. It's a black and white feather. He grins. There is something different about it. Well it feels different I'm probably over thinking things I personally doubt it has real importance.

"Nice." I smile he runs off before I can give it back to him.

"He wants you to have it Alusia I don't know why but when my father gave me a feather it helped me choose my mate." Her eyes show love for MaKail. "He knows we are mates but he still loves his first love I can not deny his right for her if I do I'll lose him and myself."

She watches him then looks funny. "Two?" He nods. He hands me a blue feather. "You are one of a kind Alusia."

I've heard that all my life but it doesn't make a difference I might be different more unique but if I mess up people I care about will get hurt try having to put it in consideration.

Kaydan's good he cares just like Felix and sadly has a temper like him when it comes to others saying mean stuff towards me. I need someone who is under control completely he won't lose himself. I'm this way I must to keep peace between everyone.

"I have an idea."

Huh? "What is it?" I tilt my head to the side.

Kay Kay cuts his mom off. "Mom there's going to be the party tonight Alusia should come I have never seen her go to one. I bet she will have fun can we take her mom please?"

Emma smiles. "Sure that would be great I'll pick you up around 8 that sound good?"

"I would love to but can't mom want me to do something for her tonight while she goes out with her boyfriend."

"Come on I'll talk to your mom." She gets up. "Come on Kay Kay were going to Alusia's place."

Go ahead I bet mom won't let me she doesn't want me to be seen. We make it to the house mom's sitting on the porch annoyed it seems. Biva stands there next to her. "She's not going she isn't old enough."

"She's old enough gosh damn it everyone is suppose to come. Everyone, it's part of our tradition this is how we meet new people and build our strengths by her not coming this part of land will die and everyone in it. She can't fight them alone. She needs this experience so she can choose her mate Aiyana." Mom looks up at me.

"Isha go inside now." I think I just walked into a conversation I wasn't suppose to hear. I went inside Emma was going to grab me to have me stay but Biva shook her head no.

I went inside my room close the door I lay on my bed. Sighing my life's complicated why would any guy like me there's too much for them to handle.

I don't know when I fell asleep but I kept hearing tapping on my window. I rub my eyes what's going on? I get up close to my window moving the curtain peering out I see a guy he looks like he's out of high school. Standing in the distance looking up at the moon thankfully he's not looking my way.
