"Mom, where are you going" I asked my mom as she turned away from us into the crowd.
"I'm just gonna buy the snow globe at the shop across the street, won't take long."
"Sure, be safe" and that was the last I ever saw of my mum.
The next thing we heard was shouts of "help" and an ambulance approaching. We were worried cause our mum hadn't returned, so we went to the scene were a number of people had gathered and to our utter shock, there laid our mum in a pool of blood totally unconscious.
The ambulance had arrived and the paramedics team were trying their best to revive my mom. Dad left us and went to talk with them .
He later turned and said"Adrian look after Martha, I need to go to the hospital " and left with our mom in the ambulance. I just couldn't wrap my head around at what just happened.
I looked at Martha and all I saw was fear and grieve. "What's going to happen to mummy, Adrian?". She never calls me Adrian, so she calling me that, meant she was really scared.
I knelt down beside her and hugged her. " Every thing is gonna be alright "I whispered to her.Only it didn't . Mom had passed away. I just got up and went into my room. Before we left the carnival, I bought the snow globe mum wanted to buy and kept it in case she returned, but I only realized she was never going to come back.
