The Anti-Heroes

Chapter 1

Welcome our world; yeah, I know it sucks heroes telling everyone what to do. Oh, I should probably explain what's happening! In this world, some people are born with powers, and few people are chosen by the government to be so-called "heroes". The people that basically guide society, civilians like me, don't get permissions that heroes do. If a civilian is born with powers, they are restricted from using them.

I was one of the few people born with powers that isn't a hero, though my powers were never restricted as I never showed signs of having these powers. I was raised in the forest away from the city by my mom. My mother died in an accident when I was 5. The "heroes" didn't save my mom.

It's been 15 years since my mom died. I never knew my dad. Since then, I found a group of people just like me. The "heroes" failed all of us in some way. We decided we would be the anti-heroes.

"HEY ETHAN! STOP WRITING IN THAT DUMB JOURNAL AND COME HELP US!!" I heard Amy yell, my friends always find the worst times to interrupt me.

"FINE! GIVE ME A SEC!!" I shouted back at her. I kept on writing in my journal, despite the persistent yelling I could hear from the kitchen, I wanted to finish today's entry.

You know we don't care about what's "right" or pleasing everyone around us. Cause we know this world that brought us life wasn't made to keep everyone happy. The rules and laws that countries come up with in front of me, they all suck. Cause there are people that we've gotta protect, and if you get in our way, you're dead.

You see, we're tired of trying to justify every decision that we make. If it's to save the people that we stand by, you better believe what we say. "Stay in the lines, don't make a scene," Heroes try to tell us what's right. But when push comes to shove, you'll know what we mean, we're ready to start a fight.

We're gonna be the anti-hero, feared and hated by everybody. We're gonna be the anti-heroes, so we can save you when the time comes. We're gonna be the anti-hero, feared and hated by everybody. We're gonna be the anti-heroes.

Righteousness is a thing that we hate cause it doesn't do any good for anyone, and everyone thinks everything is OK. If they just obey, we don't want to think about what they see. When they look up and see evil us, you see, love isn't what we need, as long as we can set you free.

"Stay in the lines, don't make a scene," heroes try to tell us what's right. But when push comes to shove, you'll know what we mean, we're ready to start a fight. We're gonna be the anti-heroes, feared and hated by everybody, we're gonna be the anti-heroes.
