"YOU'RE DOING THAT wrong." Regulus says, leaning forward towards Florence.Flo ignores him, shooing him away as she would a pesky fly, before focusing back on her potion. Draught of Living Death. The potion was definitely more difficult than ones Flo had concocted in the past, and as she was no potions master, unnecessary interferences like Regulus Black would most likely cost her a good grade.
"Did you ever add your sloth brain?" Regulus questions, now standing behind Flo.
"What do you think." Flo says, hands on her hips and her hair a complete mess.
Regulus looks Into the cauldron, then back to Flo, a smug smile on his face.
"The princess of Gryffindor... good at everything but a rather simple potion." Regulus says, shaking his head.
"Simple? This is the most difficult potion we've done in all our years at Hogwarts." Flo states, pushing away Regulus and shielding her cauldron as she adds in the sloth brain she had forgotten about.
Regulus lets out a soft laugh before returning to his own potion, though he continues to steal glances towards Flo more often than he should.
Class was nearing it's end as Flo was doing the last bit of her stirring, though it was no use. Her potion was so horribly wrong it must be insulting to look at.
"Tough break, huh Crown?" Regulus states, the two exiting the Potions room and beginning towards Double Transfiguration.
"Shut it, Black."
Regulus, though, continues to speak.
"I hear you're a fan of Greek mythology."
Flo perks up slightly.
"Where did you hear that from? ... But yes, I am."
"Well, you weren't exactly using your inside voice when shouting about Patroclus and Achilles' love for each other a few weeks ago in the Great Hall." Regulus laughs. Flo's face begins to turn red.
"I'm very passionate about historical accuracy." She jokes, earning another laugh from Regulus.
Flo couldn't help but notice how rare a smiling, and laughing Regulus was. She wondered why he tended to do those two things most around her.
hope you enjoyed!
