"You dont love me!" she said.

"I love you" he said, looking at his best friend. Her dark olive tinted skin, dark blue eyes, and red flushed lips. A gorgeous girl, with a gorgeous name Joanne. Brown hair that flowed over her shoulders ever so lightly, soft waves corrupted at the bottom of her hair, tied back in a low ponytail, brought to the left side of her shoulder, with two soft curly strands pulled from the front. She was a girl who you could never take your eyes off.

These two had been best friends for a long while, 9 years to be exact, and no doubt chemistry had been sparking between them, but lately he had been feeling more, more than friends, more than liking someone, something that he considered to be love. He had never felt this way before, nor ever experienced this.

"I've loved you for so long, I just couldn't tell you, I didn't know how!" He stated, this new feeling was abrupt to him, no one wants to be in love at 16! Except David, David was Joannes school friend, she always fancied him, yet never was able to understand why she just couldn't get his attention. David had rugged and messy brown hair with Green eyes, very nice smile, and quite a nice nose. But, David wasn't the nicest person around, not to anyone but his misses.

"Joanne? Please say something." Back to reality she snaps,

"Oh, sorry," She says quietly, still shocked at what she's just heard, her best friend, telling her he loved her? Impossible! "Could you repeat that?" She murmurs,

"I love you." he states again, he's not too far away from her, about an arms length distance, surrounded by trees in the middle of the woods, yet in a perfect position where there is a beam of sun peering through leaves and branches, a slow but deep stream of water flowing along side them, this was there spot, the place they met when they were 7. Joanne went out to pick flowers for her mother's shop, and him, he went out to play with his sister Mary, playing hide and seek. 9 years ago today is the day they met, but also the day he lost his sister, they never found Mary, she was a gorgeous little girl, pale soft skin, bright red cheeks and lips, very curly orange coloured hair, Mary and her brother looked nothing alike quite different in fact!

They go to the same spot where they met every year, to remember the time when he collapsed in Joannes arms crying, and all she did was hold him ever so tightly, that's the day they both knew it would be him and her for life.

"You know what, if you can't say anything I'm going!" He huffs, Joanne hasn't said anything since the 'I love you', she can't bring herself to talk, she's not sure she feels the same, so, she lets him leave.

A few hours pass, Hes gone home, but she, she's still there, on the ground, in her mint green dress, listening to the birds sing their soft tune. She starts feeling little droplets of water patter onto her face, she decides to get up, and leave, slowly walking, admiring the bushes on the way, heavy rain starts falling, she can no longer see that path ahead, so she chooses to stop and take cover. Constant rain, no Sign of stopping, no sign of anything.

Back home. He is warm, he is dry, but he is worrying about Joanne, where could she be? He picks up the phone and dials her home number,

"Hello?" Answers her mum,

"Hi, is Joanne home?" He asks pacing back and forth,

"No she mentioned she was going out for the day with a her close friend," her mother stated "No sign of her yet."

"Oh okay thank you." He spat out quickly and hung up the phone. He was still mad yet still loved her Ever so much,

"I'll be back in an hour." He shouted from the door and slammed it behind him as he left.

Running back into the woods trying to search for his love, someone that made him ever so happy since his sister's death, someone who made him feel as if it wasn't his fault, and someone who make him happy on his darkest of days, he couldn't let the light in his life go again, if he lost her, he would lose himself.

As his pace quickens and his footsteps get heavier, she can hear him,

"Joanne!" he shouts from afar, "Where are you!" he's worried, she's shivering, she cant feel her legs anymore, he's terrified he's going to lose her, "JOANNE!" he shouts in despair.

A loud shriek in pain is shouted from afar, "Joanne!!!" he gasped and ran towards her, finding her soaking wet, perched up against a tree, he runs and grasps her into his arms, feeling her cold body agains his sweaty and heavy breathing one. He's so thankful to see her, shes speechless and nearly immobile, he has no choice but to pick her up and get out of there before it gets dark. Considering she was fairly light and skinny he had no problem in picking her up.

"Jo, darling, i know you don't like being picked up but I need to get you out of here before it gets dark and cold." He said so softly only she could hear it, she had no choice but to nod and agree, even Joanne wanted to go home.

Going back the way he came in she rushed her home and into a warm shower, he undressed her and helped her wash herself, it was the least he could do as he was the one who left her out there, he got new warm clothes out and helped her get dressed too. Once she was warm and dry he made supper, she was amazed at what he could do, and cook, after all his dad was a chef, and earnt a lot of money, its rare someone as wealthy as him would be seen with someone in the middle class like her. But after all, he did love her.

"Hey, thank you," she spoke, finally. " for everything you've done today."

"Its nothing, don't stress it." he said in awe, she just smiled and ate supper quietly in front of the tv, he let her choose a show, one of her favorites, Seinfeld, they grew up watching that show together, it was their favorite.

As the day came to an end, he went home, she went into her mind, thoughts flooding herself. Dangerous thoughts.

*he doesnt love me,*  *he's just gonna hurt me,* *he loves dianne not me,* *im done with life, he deserves better, he deserves her.*

As she slowly gets up, she walks to the bathroom, pulls out those pills her mother used to take, and swallowed 7, her mother told her 5 wasn't the answer.

Now looking in the mirror she knew why he never actually loved her.

"I'm coming mum, i'm coming." she whispered to herself. Her body flopped onto the floor as the door flung wide open.

"Joanne? Where are you?" Whispered his voice in the distance
