My eyes widened and my mouth went dry, I ran my tongue over my lips and just stared at him as he still towered over me. "W-what are you talking about?" I flicked my eyes all over his face and down to his lips which were turned up into a smile, which I wasn't expecting, catching me off guard slightly, much like this whole situation to be honest.
"Oh come on, babe." He smirked down at my lips as well, him still holding his body over mine, keeping me rigid and unable to move. He leaned down closer and his smirk grew and he flicked his eyes from my lips up to my eyes, making my breath hitch and my heart begin to thump in my chest so hard I honestly thought I was going to die. "Let me help you here,"
I shook my head, furrowing my eyebrows and looking down at the floor in thought, making him seem confused at my actions. Well that makes two of us. I looked back up to him to see his eyebrows furrowed, mirroring mine and now we were both staring at each other in confusion, silence falling across the corridor as we were still the only ones out here. "What are you talking about? You've lost me.." I asked, raising my eyebrows to encourage him to tell me what the fuck is going on. "What do you mean help me?" I was beyond confused.
This caused a reaction in him I've not come across before. He smiled genuinely and leaned back, giving me some breathing space which I was honestly very grateful for. Not that I minded being close to Harry but when he was like this, no chance. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I'm scared of him and being this close to him in this context, terrified me more.
Hang on, there is no other context, what am I going on about?
What the fuck?
Harry leaned against the wall next to me, with his arms crossed over his chest and turned to the side with his shoulder resting on the wall. I slowly turned around to face him as he stood there with a big stupid grin on his face as he looked me up and down, making me slightly uncomfortable, this clearly showing on my face as he leaned back a little more to give me more breathing room and he softened his expression slightly, making me confused even more.
"I heard you," he chuckled, pointing behind him to a classroom, "on the phone a few days ago," he rubbed his nose with his index finger, his eyes still staring into mine. I looked at him with a confused expression and furrowed my eyebrows further, shifting my head to look at the floor to think, but it's actually pretty hard to think when you can feel someone staring at your every move.
"Nope, you've still lost me.."
Harry sighed in frustration and rubbed his hand down his face, throwing his head back before looking back down to me and I was staring back up at him now.
"I heard you on the phone to your mum or dad or something and I could just tell you were getting frustrated and you hung up on them in a huff and threw your phone across the table." My eyebrows shot up in realisation of what he was referring to and I felt my face burn hot as I realised he was listening to my conversation without me knowing about it, until now. "Then, I heard you complain to someone, I'm going to assume Aria because quite frankly, you don't have any other friends, about how much they piss you off and how tired of them you are, you want to get back at them in some way." He leaned in closer to me and raised an eyebrow with his proposition. "What better way to piss them off than to date someone like me?" He smirked, leaning back again and motioning to himself then laughing, shaking his head.
Well, I mean he's not wrong. They would hate it if I did, and there was something about getting back at them that was so attractive to me that I couldn't believe I was seriously fucking even considering this.
"Harry," I laughed, running my hand through my hair nervously as he looked down at me and swiped his tongue over his bottom lip, before smiling for some odd reason instead of his stupid smirk that lived on his face. "I'm not going to date you, I don't fucking like you. Why would I do that to myself?" I laughed in his face and gained some strength to push him away from me, a proud smile pulling at my lips when I see him stumble back before steadying himself and his smile that was on his face had dropped completely and I noticed a look of anger falling over his features so I just decided to try and make a run for it.
Not on his watch apparently.
As I turned round to walk away, I was met with a familiar broad chest as I bumped into him in front of the doors, again preventing me from leaving. I sighed and decided to let him talk, I pushed myself away from the contact I had made with his body and stood with my arms folded, waiting for him to speak and explain what in the actual fuck he is thinking.
Harry reciprocated my actions and stood staring at me with his arms now folded too and with a decent space between us, more than there usually is lately to be quite honest. "I don't mean properly date me, fucking hell." Harry rolled his eyes and when his eyes landed on mine again he let out a laugh, making me more confused, which is all I seem to be at the moment. I furrowed my eyebrows and then shot them up as I realised what he was getting at.
"Ohhhh, you want me to-"
"Fake date me, thats right." He smirked, cutting me off as he nodded his head and laughed at the fact that I finally understood what he was talking about after all this time and finding humour in my stupidity right now.
"You're unbelievable.." I mumbled looking at the floor and I shook my head in disbelief as I noticed he walked closer to me, his arms now uncrossed and back in his pockets as he looked down at me, smirking again.
"Oh am I? Well, I'm just trying to help you, but if you don't want my help then.." He trailed off, moving his head to the side and looking away dramatically, his voice growing quieter towards the end which made me want to reach out and grab his hand for some reason to keep him around.
Gross.
"What's in it for you?" I asked suspiciously, my eyebrows raising and my head tilting to one side as he whipped his head back round to look at me again, his smirk remaining on his face as he clearly got whatever he wanted.
"Why would there be something in it for me, babe?"
"Because, you never do something for someone without getting something in return, I know you." I rolled my eyes and shifted my weight over to one leg, now moving back to lean against the wall, but he didn't get any closer, he just stayed where he was but crossed his arms again, raising an eyebrow.
"People change, princess. I'm trying to be a better person."
I could not help but let out a laugh, my hand instantly clamping over my mouth to stop my laughter as all I got in response was a glare of anger from Harry. I cleared my throat and bought my hand down, crossing my arms again and composing myself once more.
"Whatever, will you do it or not? I won't waste my time babe." He rolled his eyes while his body stayed rigid and his smirk fell and his facial expressions hinted that he was serious, which made me slightly nervous as I thought about a response.
I mean, I cannot stand this guy in the slightest.
But it might be fun to mess with him a little bit.
It will definitely get back at my parents, which is exactly what I wanted and I wouldn't have to do anything too bad.
All I have to do is pretend, thats it.
Maybe I could tolerate him?
"Well?" my thoughts were interrupted by a voice that snapped me from my stare as I realised I wasn't paying attention and let my mind run off with me. Harry stood in front of me with a frustrated and impatient demeanour as I took a little while to think as he rolled his eyes when my eyes snapped from the floor and back up at his eyes, his face definitely showing he was beginning to get irritated.
"Look, I'll think about it."
Harry sighed and threw his head back, audibly groaning and then rubbed his hand over his face and leaning in closer to me. "Don't think about it too long, princess. I don't like to be kept waiting." He smiled sweetly in contradiction of his threatening words and tone, making me even more nervous and audibly gulp from the lump that grew in my throat. He pulled his body back and smiled at me again before turning round and beginning to walk away. "Text me!" He waved his arm up in the air, not turning his body round as he kept walking to the doors to leave me in the hallway.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, flicking my eyes down to my phone and then back in his direction as he still has his back to me. "I don't have your number, fuckwit!" I heard him laugh as he kicked the door open with his foot, walking through and keeping his hands firmly in his pockets. His laughter faded down the corridor as the door swung shut and left me alone and confused in the corridor.
