Fourteen

Me and Clay followed Zak and Darryl outside. Now we could see the members. Two boys were standing on the street. "Why hello Clay!"
"What are you guys doing here?" They looked at each other and nodded, "You see, Ethan sent us here to give you a message. He thinks that you guys own too much land and we could use some of it,"
"Why do you need it? You guys have 20 square km,"
"And you guys have 150 square km! Why do you need so much?" Clay hesitated, "Exactly, just hand some over!"
"Never," one of the boys smirked. "I guess we're just gonna have to tell Ethan that we're gonna have to take it by force." The boys turned and walked off. "I knew that Ethan was no good." I turned to Clay, his fist was clenched and shaking. "I don't want to have to deal with Ethan and walkers," groaned Clay, he made a hand movement to Zak and Darryl, "Get to the radio in the meeting room, tell everyone to return ASAP," The two boys nodded and ran back inside the base.

Clay sat on a pile of rubble and placed his head in his hands, "For fucks sake!" He groaned. A sorrowful look began to spread on my face. Clay shot up and kicked at the pile he was once sitting on, "FOR FUCKS SAKE!"
"Clay..."
"Of course Ethan is the one who starts the fucking war!" I walk up to him and place my hand on his shoulder. He hesitates then removes my hand, shaking his head, "Not right now George, this is something bigger than us." Clay walked inside and I stood in the same spot. A frown forming on my face.

I walk inside and sit on my bed, his mask is no longer on his bed and my sheets are still a mess. I sigh and being fiddling with my fingers, "We were having so much fun just an hour ago..." tears began to sting my face, "I push away anyone who gets close to me, don't I?" These thoughts rattle around my head, in a fierce battle with anything that says otherwise. I hear footsteps outside my room and murmuring. I open the door and look outside, members of the clan are hastily going to their rooms than to the meeting room. I wipe my face with my sleeve and go up to the next floor, where the meeting room is. Clay is standing at the wall the has a map glued to it, he's holding two markers, a red and black marker. Dave, Caroline, Nikki, Ant, Ranboo and Phil are here as well. "Where're the others?" Clay asked, not looking away from the map. "Me and Ant drove around to get everyone, some people are in their rooms but Alistair and Karl were in an area we couldn't reach so their walking back." Clay sighed and nodded, "Very well then. This meeting won't commence until everyone is here." He turned around and looked at the group. "You all shall leave." His head turned slightly to look at me since I was standing a bit further from everyone, "Everyone except Dave, my second in command." Clay turned away from me, Dave nodded and sat down as everyone left the room, including myself.

I sat in my room, my knees folded up to my chest, "did I do something to hurt Clay?" I wrap my arms around myself. I feel cold, lonely, sad. I feel awful. Someone knocks on my door and I get up and open it, it's Ant. "Hey, you looked like you were down so I came to see if you were alright," Ant had a reassuring smile on his face that made me feel a little better. I invited him in and he sat on a chair next to the desk. "So, has everything been alright?"
"It's been all ok, till today I mean,"
"So until you guys became roommates?"
"Well there are some good sides to that," I blush thinking of the good things we have done, "I'm sorry. I'm being too sensitive." I tuck my head into my knees as my eyes begin to tear up, Ant begins to pat my back. "Hey, don't stress about it. He's not the best at taking care of his stress and other people at the same time." I sighed and looked up at Ant and he had a reassuring smile. I sniffled and wiped my face, "I guess so,"
"Just wait a day and I'm sure you two will get back sucking face or whatever you two do," I chuckled and smiled as he smiled back. "See you in an hour," he said as he left my room.
