Chapter 44

"Let's go watch a movie." I pulled Kai along with me to the theatre room. It was not exactly easy. My  due date was arriving in a week and I was a little nervous. I didn't know what to expect. I did Google some stuff about others' experience and even my doctor had told me an idea of what will happen. And about my bump, it was enormous. My son and my daughter wouldn't stop kicking.

"Which one do you want to watch?" Kai asked, flicking through the movies.

"Pirates of the Caribbean? I know you haven't watched that one." I suggested.

"Ok" I tried to find a comfortable position and snuggled up into his chest.

After the movie ended, Kai helped me up from the sofa.

" Our son and daughter will be arriving in less than a week!" Kai exclaimed looking down at me.

"I'm super excited." I smiled.

"So am I." he placed his lips on mine. Before he pulled out, I placed my hands behind his head, telling him to continue. And that was the beginning of our make out session.

"Ow" I hissed as I felt a sharp pain in my lower stomach. I accidentally bit Kai's lower lip, drawing out blood.

"I'm sorry." I said as I pulled back. "I think I am going into labour."  I said as I felt another contraction.

"Okay. We know what to do." Kai tried not to panic but clearly he was.

"Get that car ready!" he called his driver and yelled.

"Come on, Rose. You got this." he put a hand around my shoulder and helped me to the car.

"Just a few more minutes baby." he said, as I squeezed his hand in pain. He increased the speed more, skipping all the red lights.

"Fuck" I cursed as another, more painful contraction kicked in.

"We're there baby, let's get you a room." he yelled at a nurse, telling her to help me get to a room.

"Are you having twins, mam?" the nurse asked as she put me into a wheelchair.

I nodded my head.

"Okay. So I'm going to put you in the operating room."

"Yeah okay. Just get her there, will you?" Kai gritted.

"Yes sir." she turned into a room.

The doctors helped me on the bed and checked me.

"She is not completely dilated, sir. We will have to wait." the doctor said.

"Okay." Kai said and sat beside me. He wiped the tears from my eyes.

" It's okay, baby. You can do this." he whispered in my ear.

"Just one big push. And your first child will be here." the doctor smiled at me. How can she smile when I am in so much pain? But gripping harder on Kai's arm which was probably red and swollen by now, I did what she told at the thought of finally being able to see my child.

" It's the boy!" she said holding him in her hands. I looked at him and then at Kai. Both of us had huge smiles on our faces. I forgot about the pain for a few moments until they took him away for checkup.

"It's now time for your daughter."

12 minutes later and after an hour of labour, I was holding my son and my daughter in my hands. I had tears of happiness flowing down my cheeks.

"You wanna hold them?" I asked Kai as I finished feeding both of them.

He nodded and I gave them to him. I looked at him to see a tear of happiness flow down his cheek.

After sometime, mom, dad, Carter, Leo, Enzo and Dana, entered the room along with their son Max in Dana's hand and Lexi in Enzo's arms.

"Hey everyone, meet Zayn Jamie Parker and Ariana Lillith Parker."
