It was 7 o clock in the morning.I was thinking of today.Today they were calling out who will be in the Hunger Games.The Hunger Games is when you have to fight each other and kill each other.I hope that I wont be called out but I also don't want Katniss to be picked either.But if I get picked Katniss will probably volunteer for me but I would rather get picked than Katniss.Katniss thought me how to hunt and kill.Anyway my mam got me a new dress and she put my hair in to plaits.She said I had to look my best for today.But I don't care what I look like.So while we were walking up some people had to stick a needle in you just for your blood.We had to go in are age group.I said bye to Katniss for now and I went to look for the thirteen girls.A lady came out.She looked weird and rich.She said always lady's first.I had my fingers crossed that Katniss wouldn't get it.She went to the very bottom of the bowl and picked up a piece of paper.She opened it and it said Katniss Everdee.I was scared as Katniss started walking up.I ran out in front of her and said I volunteer as tribute. Katniss said prim please don't do this but I did.I volunteered for her.Then she called out the boys.'Pete Malark'.Katniss knew him.That was her x boyfriend.Then the weird lady said and may the odds be ever in your favour and she brought us into the huge house behind her.
