We are singing and laughing the whole way to the beach. We make it to the beach and start to set up everything, we have four huge blankets, a big bag of firewood and a basket full of snacks Thomas's mom bought for us. We also have everything everyone else brought. I set my stuff up beside Newt and Allies' things. I look up and see the boys running to the water already. I take off the shirt and pants I was wearing over my bathing suit, and I can see Gally pointing at me to Newt, I wave at them and start to walk toward them. As I walk in, the freezing cold water hits my legs and causes me to get goosebumps all over them. I was going to continue walking toward Newt, but I couldn't see him anymore. Just as I was about to turn around and look for him, I was taken off my feet and thrown into the water. I come up and start to look around for the person who caused me to be now shaking from the cold. I see Newt hysterically giggling, and I can tell he is the culprit. I decide to pretend like I'm drowning to make him worry as payback. As I go back under the water, I move my arms in the air. I suddenly get pulled up from the water and turn my head and see Newt's worried face.
"Are you okay? It was only a joke. Can you not swim? I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Newt rambles to me while checking over me for any injuries.
"Newt, I'm okay. I was just joking. Payback for throwing me into the water." I say, laughing while looking at his scared but adorable face.
"You scared me, that's for sure."
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay."
"Can you put me down now?" I say, giving puppy dog eyes.
"Hmmh, let me think about it......NO!" Newt says, throwing me once more into the water.
"You ASSHOLE," I say jokingly.
"You know you love me."
"Your right," I say in a whisper.
"What was that?" Newt says.
"Nothing."
"You sure?" he says with a grin.
Shit, he heard.
"Yep," I say, trying to avoid the topic.
I wave to Newt to come in the water. I start to swim around when I feel someone put their arms around my waist. At first, I was shocked, but I turned around and saw Newt, so I calmed down.
"You called love," he says in a low tone.
This gives me butterflies in my stomach.
"Come swim with me," I say in a whine.
"I don't know."
"Please," I say, elongating the e.
"Fine," he says with a huge smile.
We swam for a while but soon got hungry. Apparently, everyone else did, too, because soon, they all came to join us. I was sitting between Newt's legs with my back on his stomach. We were all just eating and talking on the blankets when Minho came up behind Allie and picked her up. He ran with her in his arms for a while before Alby got up and started to scold him and give us all a 15-minute lecture. Alby was like the dad of the group, he always made sure we had everything we needed and followed the rules. When we broke them, we'd have to sit down and listen to him, but we all knew he loved us and loved when he had to talk to us. It makes him feel needed. After Alby was done talking to Minho, they came back and sat down. It was starting to get pretty late, so we started the bonfire.
