It was destined, for us to meet
It was written by the Gods
How we caught each other's attention.
I tried, tried my best to not gawk at you,
I had only heard of Princes till that day
The moment I saw you in front of my eyes
Before that, Princes lived only in fairy tales
But then, which story is yours?
It was never meant to happen
But the warmth of your numbed my senses
The moment our lips touched
I felt myself slipping out of gravity.
Maybe some part of me touched you too
Because I felt the rhythm of your lips against mine
And that was the day I knew the "fall"
Never to surface again, ready to drown twice.
Somewhere deep inside, slept a "me"
Peacefully cast away in a witch's magic
Your kiss resonated through my soul
And the tremble was enough to break the spell
Maybe there exists a prince for every princess
Love stories weaved into movies and fairytales
But seeing my light reflected on your eyes
That was the moment I knew you are my knight
This story is very different from the usual
But that's what makes it like a daffodil among the wildflowers
Two princes walking headfirst into love
A one on one combat against the prejudices of the world
Your beauty will reside through the way I look at you
You can see what I say when I speak no words
All those stolen moments among thousands of witnesses
Are the same when you witness me unfolding in 'our' solitude
Flowers grooming my heart when you ask me out
I want to bask forever in this reality that's us
Your arms protecting me when the world makes a fuss
I thank every setup and know that the world cannot set us apart
So I like to take a step back and walk behind you
Your shadows as alluring as the light
You look back at me, asking me "what happened?"
"Nothing" is the word that says it all;
You already know, you have me levitated far above
You already know what you mean to me, my love
You already know that I am into you, my love
You already know I have got your back, my love.
