Chapter 22

It did seem strange, if not somewhat bizarre to go from being shot at to going clothes shopping, but then again 'why not?' Harry thought. She couldn't hide away forever and besides when else was she going to get the chance again to be here, to see LA, this was a once in a lifetime trip. There was no point in hiding away, if whoever it was determined enough, they'd get to her wherever she was. It was at that moment, as Harry waited by the huge front door, that she decided life was for living, and there was no way some maniac was going to stop her from doing it.

Jason had the Audi pulled round to the front of the house, there was a driver and a rather large, intimidating male sat in the front passenger seat both wearing dark suits but not wearing sun glasses, in films they always wore blackened out sun glasses. Jason trotted down the stairs and met Harry, he had changed into blue designer faded jeans and a white tight t-shirt, that managed to show every outline of his physique. Jason took her hand before opening the door for her, "time for me to show you around," Jason flashed her one of his most perfect white smiles before escorting her to the car and into the back seats. The Audi was large and black, with dark leather seats. It was a celebrities' car but not overstated and didn't stand out like a neon sign, 'Announcing a celebrity was in the car' the windows were blackened out, so no one could see inside.

As promised Jason took her on a tour of the 'who lived where' some of the houses were obscured by large hedges, walls and fences but it was still fascinating to actually be in the same area as movie stars. After the grand tour, they drove to a huge shopping centre (mall) they parked in a specified parking lot underneath the mall. The driver and the other bodyguard got out first and seem to do a quick scan of the area before opening Jason and Harry's door. Jason had slipped on a baseball cap that came over his eyes, he also had on dark glasses. It was a bit like watching Clark Kent put on glasses and expecting everyone not to notice that he was superman, to her it was obvious who he was. Harry had no such disguise but then she was a nobody ... at least not celebrity wise. She was just Harry. To Harry it seemed strikingly awkward and obvious that Jason was who he was especially with two big burly bodyguards walking besides them but this was LA maybe this was their normal? Once they reached inside, the whole place was decorated for Christmas, huge trees and lights glittered around the place and made it look quite magical, the shops were bustling with people rushing about as if panic buying for Christmas.

Harry had made no secret to Jason that she had little money and there was no way she could afford any of the places he was taking her too, it really did feel like a scene out of Pretty Woman, except she was no stand in/look alike, Julie Roberts and neither was she a working girl of the night. Harry felt in a bit of daze wandering round clearly having no idea where they were going, and it was all a bit overpowering. The two bodyguards hung back but always within a few feet of them, Jason led Harry into her first shop who seemed to know they were coming and were expected.

"Mr Statham, we have everything organised if you would like to come this way?" A rather tall slim elegant woman met them at the door she had a fixed smile on her perfectly painted face, the only thing that didn't do her any favours were the size of her lips, which had obviously been filled to maximum capacity, Harry wondered how she could annunciate any words.

Jason leant in towards Harry so only she could hear, "I called ahead I hope that's ok? This is the first shop, but try on what you will and she will attend you."

Harry gripped Jason's hand, "Are you going somewhere?" Harry felt instant fear that he was going to leave her with bubba lips.

"I do have to go somewhere and get something but I'll be back as soon as I can and I'm leaving Harrison here with you he won't leave your side."
