Nirvana's p.o.v
"Hey fat ass get up for school,be late and imma kick you down the stairs." My grandma rita yells from the hallway. She would kick me down the stairs,she done it before and broke my arm and leg. "Yes ma'am," I say breaking myself from my flashback. Getting out of bed I start getting ready for school. Oh I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself yet how rude of me.
My name is nirvana nicole nite,and since I was small all I ever wanted to was to feel loved. I was never lucky since birth,my grandma took me from my mother at birth. I've never seen her after that,but I've seen pictures. I look like an exact replica except my fat build fat stomach and flabby arms. Everyday my grandma let me know how ugly and worthless I am ,and I believe her. Oh yeah and I'm only 17, 18 in two months then I'll go live in a women's shelter.
Time skip...
After I did my daily hygiene I decided to wear a sweater,sweats and my old sneakers from goodwill I got a couple years ago. My grandma been scamming since a young age I'm sure. So she has a lot of money, she buys herself nice things while I wear old ratty cloths. I'm sure she hates me,she tells me I'm a accident and it was to late to abort me. Honestly I wish I was aborted sometimes if it weren't for ms.Maureen. She has always been there for me. I have to sneak to her house because my grandma don't "like her in our business," so grandma says.
Ms.Maureen notices the bruises she leaves on my skin. I can tell she wants to say something,but don't out of sadness for me. She is always generous saying what's hers is mine.
"Hurry the fuck up," my grandma screamed at the top of her lungs. Hurrying out the room after grabbing my bag I almost bumped into her. I hurry past her just as the school bus pulled up. I go to fedrick high, the worst school you could ever go to. People smoke, drink,and in every class is a gang. Because being in the same class will cause a all out fight of the gangs. All kids from different hoods come to this one school. Every other day its a fight and sometimes shootouts. There is also no point in calling 911 the police is either corrupt or lazy.
Getting on the school bus is so awful, people stare at you and is ready to start shit. Ignoring people I hurry to the back of the bus sitting in the last seat. I'm trying to think of a way to get to ms.Maureen's house today. I just need a escape from it all school, my grandma just everything. Ms.Maureen is my peace I think that's another reason grandma hates her.
Upon arriving at school I decide to skip breakfast,I could lose a few pounds. I head straight to class to to chill for a bit. I decided to write until class starts ready to get this day over with. 20 minutes later the bell rings and people started to spill in the classroom two and three people at at time. Lucky me I sit in the back of the class, 5 minutes later the teacher walks in late to her own class.
After two classes its time for lunch which I also decided to skip. Heading straight to the library until the next class. I was sitting in the corner of the library when Sydney and henny walked up to me. These girls are two of the top ranked at this school. They are known for being scandal strivers. They love causing scandal and spreading rumors and spilling secrets.
"Hey lil fat bitch I'm glad your skipping lunch you need to." Sydney says and I just ignored them when they continued. "What all that fat made you deaf too?" Henny added smacking the book out of my hands when i continued to ignore them. The librarian ms.ash walked over a book in her hand. "Can i help you?" She asked henny and sydney making them turn around and mugged her.
"Yes you can actually,"henny said,"by minding your business." I just sat there dumbfounded I wish I can just avoid all this drama. "How about you both get the fuck out my library." Ms.ash replied not blinking having a stare off with the girls. Sydney made a sound after a minute then left, henny following behind her after giving me a look. "Thank you ms.ash," I mumbled lowly. "No problem just watch your back henny look like she gon get you later," She replied then left.
Time skip...
Its the last class of the day and I would be excited if not for two reasons.1:sydney and henny is in this class and 2: I have to go back to that hell house. When the final bell rung I slowly got up even as people threw stuff at me as they left. Once everyone left the school I assumed the coast was clear to leave. As soon as I exit the building I'm hit with a brick upside my head.
Whimpering I fell over touching my head and seen blood on my hand. Then sydney and henny started jumping me. They stomped,punched,kicked and, scratched me. By the time they were done I was in and out of consciousness. "Get that library bitch to save you."henny said then her and sydney left me there. I don't know how long I laid there before I was able to slowly get up without falling.
Finally I stumbled into the the house after limping all the way here. Looking through my less swollen eye I see that my grandma has male company tonight. "Stop bleeding on my floor,"was all she said. Not what happened, are you okay, or let me call an ambulance. "How about you leave me alone or better yet call me an ambulance."I reply fed up making her give me an evil look making me physically shrink back.
"The fuck your fat ass just say?" She asked her and her company standing up as I slowly back up."you heard me rita,"I reply still in pain. Surely she wouldn't hit me in this state in front of company. "Jason grab her,"she tells the dude and he started walking towards me, making me run as best as I could injured outside heading yo ms.Maureen's house. This will be the last time I see rita.
