Marcus and I met after class and we were on our way to meeting our new neighbor.We lean on the oppsite parts of her locker and she looks shocked at the both of us.
"You're new?"I ask her.
"Just moved in across the street?"Marcus asks her.
"It's Monday."She says,looking at Marcus' shirt that clearly said Wednesday.
"What cultural wasteland are you from?Never heard of the band Wednesday?"Marcus asks and I laugh at Ginny's lost expression.
"Yes,I have.They have that one song."She says and avoids our gaze.
"No,they don't.He just made them up and he probably picked a random shirt."I laugh.
"Whatever."She scoffs.
"We met your mom last night."Marcus says.
"She can be very friendly."Ginny tells us.
"Well,she asked us for weed.She wasn't that friendly."I tell her.
"Yeah well,she can also be kind of a bitch."Ginny says and then Max walks towards us.
"Be gone,jerks!"Maxine says.
"See you around,Virginia."I say and both Marcus and I do the salute,walking away.
"Sorry about those two.They are assholes."Nax tells Ginny.
"Totally."Ginny tells her.
"He's my twin brother and she was once my bestfriend."Max says and Ginny wants to apologize but Max interrupts her.
"I'm sorry.I should've strangled him with my umbilical cord in the womb."She says and both her and Ginny walk towards lunch.
Marcus and I were now at lunch and neither of us were eating.
"Where's your phone?"He asks me as I was drawing.
"I gave it to Hunter so he could take some photos for his project or whatever."I say.
"That guy's a douchebag."He says.
"I guess."I say and walk towards 'the bro squad' table.
"Hunter,give me my phone."I tell him and sit on their table.
"Ooh,is Ginny part of the bro squad?"I ask and look at her.
"Actually-"Norah starts.
"I don't care,just give me my phone."I say and he gives it to me.
"I still haven't taken the photos."He says.
"Take Norah's phone."I tell him and leave.
"I thought you didn't hang out with her."Ginny says.
"The boys do and she gets invited to all the parties."Norah tells Ginny and she rolls her eyes.
"Got the phone?"Marcus asks me as I sit.
"Sure thing,apparentely he took photos on snapchat.Ew,he used the dog filter,that's old."I say and Marcus laughs at my disgusted expression.
"Are you coming to my place after school?"He asks.
"Yes,my aunt is away for two months."I say.
"What?Why?"He asks.
"She's in Belgium with her new boyfriend."I sigh.
"It never ends well."Marcus laughs.
"At least she left me money."I smile and we both leave the cafeteria.
