Okay so I got a new laptop yesterday. This is a good way for you to find out isn't it, Chloe?  Anyway, so now I have a laptop I am probably going to update a little more often. That's not a definite though.  Here is Chapter 8. It's a bit shorter but chapter 9 will be longer than this.

Chapter 8:

For what seemed an age, but was probably only a few hours, I sat in the same position whilst several different women pulled and twisted my hair and others covered my face in various types of make up, before finally deciding on which one to use.

After that my nails, hands and feet, were painted blood red. I guess it was their favourite colour what with them being vampires. Finally, they picked out a blood red silk dress to match my nails and some black heels. I looked in the mirror and for the life of me couldn't recognise the person staring back at me.

Her pale skin almost glowed in contrast to the deep red of the dress she wore and her pitch black hair. The dark eye make up made her crystal eyes pop out and the bright red that covered her lips caused then to look plump and full. Next was the dress. It was strapless, so her shoulders and neck were clearly visible apart from a few loose strands of hair that fell from her elaborate up-do. The bodice clung to he curves and slim figure. From her waist the skirt hung loosely around her legs making it easy to walk. Then, barely visibly under the long skirt were the black heels that made her appear taller than she actually was.

In conclusion, she was utterly gorgeous. And it was only when the incessant chatter of the women brought me back to reality that I realised that she was me. I couldn't even recognise myself.

"Do I really need to look like this? Would the Royals feel disappointed if I looked like I normally do?" It didn't really bother me if that was true but I still thought everything was too much.

"No! Of course not, Dear. You just need to make a good first impression." Assured Lorna. Only she, out of all of the women surrounding me, had spoken directly to me. In fact, she was the only one of which I knew their name.

"But, if the Prince isn't going to be there, isn't this too extravagant?" This irked me a little. I mean, if my husband-to-be wasn't even going to be there, did I really need all this special treatment?

"No, because we want to impress your future parents in-law." She beamed.

I didn't argue the point. I didn't feel up to it. so much had happened to me in the past few days that I didn't really think things could get any worse.

Obviously, I was wrong. Because  that is just me. Always assuming things that couldn't possibly be true.

A/N:

Again, I am sorry this chapter is a bit short, but at least it is a chapter. If I don't update before New Years eve, Happy New Year everybody.
