Chapter 11 (Part 1) - HYDRA Strikes

With Rhodey not saying a word to Steve on where he had taken Tony, he was starting to worry. What if Rhodey had taken Tony out of the tower and they had been attacked? No. Rhodey wouldn't take Tony out of the tower without telling him or Jarvis alerting them. 

He was just about to ask where the two were when Tony rushed into the room. And he smiled at the sight of Tony in the Captain America onesie and the two teddies in his arms. He ran over to Steve.

"Look what Mr Rhodey got me!" Tony says with a big smile on his face.

"They look wonderful Tony." Steve says and ruffles Tony's hair.

Tony giggled and climbed back onto the couch next to Steve as he cuddled both of the teddies close to himself.

"Where did you get this stuff at such short notice?" Steve asked Rhodey and he just chuckled.

"I've known him for years. Did you really think I wouldn't know where his childhood stuff is that he has hidden everywhere?" Rhodey questioned and Steve just smiled.

"Very true." Steve says.

"I better get going. I only had come to have a go at someone I thought was purposely ignoring my calls. But he has a valid reason so I need to go back to the air force base." Rhodey says and waves at the two of them before leaving.

"Bye Mr Rhodey!!" Tony says with a big smile on his face.

"Do you want to go back to watching Lion King?" Steve asked as he looked down at Tony.

Tony looked up at Steve and nodded with a smile.

"Yes please." Tony says and Steve nods as he puts the movie back on at the point they got to.

Tony again snuggled up to Steve in his new onesie and with both teddies. He did yawn a little but Steve didn't notice. Or he did and didn't bring it up.

"Are you enjoying the movie Tony?" Steve asked as he looked down at the child.

Tony nodded as his eyes were glued to the movie. Steve looked around, honestly surprised that no one else had walked in on the two of them. He looked back at the movie and then felt Tony tug at his shirt.

"Can I please have something to eat?" Tony asked, looking up at Steve.

"Of course. What do you want?" Steve asked as he looked at Tony.

Tony began thinking carefully as to what he wants.

"Can I have a grilled cheese please?" Tony asked.

"You certainly can." Steve says as he gets up and heads towards the kitchen.

He had left the movie playing so it would keep the child occupied as he cooked. Halfway through cooking the grilled cheese, everything suddenly shut off and everything went dark. Steve's eyes widened a little and he quickly stopped what he was doing to go back to the living room.

"Tony! Tony! Come to where you can hear my voice!" He calls out as he attempts to adjust his eyes to the darkness.

He ran directly into a chair and fell over. He could hear shuffling and something muffled before the lights turned back on and everything was back up and running. Steve quickly got back on his feet and saw that Tony was no longer on the sofa. The teddies had been abandoned on the floor. One looked to be slightly torn at the arm. Like it had been pulled out of the poor child's hand.

"Jarvis! Is Tony in the tower?!" Steve shouts as he frantically looks around for the child.

"I am afraid not Captain. Shall I inform the others?" Jarvis asked.

"Yes. And tell them to suit up. Also, can you track where Tony is?" Steve asked as he rushed off to get his gear.

"Indeed I can. Sir inserted a tracking chip into himself as a way to be found if kidnapped again." Jarvis says.

"Great. Do that." Steve says.

[Meanwhile...]

"Stay still you little brat!" A Hydra agent snaps at the squirming child in his arms.

They were surprised how easy it was to get into the tower and actually get the child. But he shouldn't have been shocked at how annoying this kid was. Being Stark and all.

"No! Let me go!" Tony screams as he attempts not to cry from the situation.

The agent grumbled as he covered the child's mouth with his hand in order to shut him up. What he didn't expect was for Tony to bite his hand.

"Ow! Fucking hell!" The agent shouts as he drops Tony and the child runs off before the agent has time to react.

Tony could hear the agent behind him as he ran. He had no idea where he was going in this building he had been taken to. But he knew he needed to get away from whoever was chasing him. He soon spots a room that looked like it had a lot of hiding spaces and ran in there. He quickly went over to what looked to be a surgery table and hid behind it. He stayed there for a few minutes, catching his breath. He could no longer hear the agent and slowly peeked over the table to see a different man and the door was now locked. The man was wearing a lab coat so he assumed he was a scientist. They both locked eyes and the scientist smirked and walked over to have a look at the child.

"It's a nice surprise to see you here. Though I was expecting you." The scientist says as he stares at Tony.

Tony was definitely uncomfortable and started to back up a little but the scientist grabbed his arm tightly before he could go any further. He whined a little in pain and he was dragged to sit on the table.

"Don't complain. I'm just going to do a little check up on you before we get started." The scientist says as he pulls out a needle.

"Shall we begin?" The scientist says with a smirk at the child.
