Kid Tony (Revamped)

Chapter 15 - The Winter Soldier

After another hug and the sandwiches were finished, Tony was pulling Steve along back towards the lego set he was in the process of building so he could join in with it and help him if he needs it.

"You're going to have to show me what to do. I have never played with lego before." Steve says as he sits down with Tony.

The child looked shocked at that.

"You haven't?!" Tony questioned with wide eyes.

Steve chuckled at that. That's the same reaction adult Tony gave when he found out he hadn't watched Star Wars.

"No I haven't. I was in the war when the first lego came out and went into the ice." Steve says.

Tony nodded a little at that.

"Okay. I can show you how they work." Tony says and makes sure Steve is watching him as he began building with the lego.

After a bit of watching, Steve soon joined in and began helping Tony when he needed it. It was quite fun. They didn't see Natasha there, taking a photo of the two of them. She had been there to take a photo of Tony and Peter as well. But she did happen to be there for a different reason though. She walked over to the two of them.

"Hi Nat! Do you want to join us?!" Tony asked, hoping she would join them.

"Sorry Tony. As much as I would want to join you, we have a mission. Steve has to come too." Natahsa says and Tony frowns.

"Okay..." He mumbled.

"Hey. Don't worry. One of us will stay behind with you and you can play legos with them." Natasha says.

"Can Steve stay?" Tony asked.

"Sorry. Since he is the leader, he has to go." Natasha says. "But I'm sure Bucky would like to stay with you." Natasha says.

"Yay!" Tony says with a smile.

Steve stood up and looked at Natasha.

"You tell the others to get ready. I'll go and find Bucky so he knows Tony wants to hang out with him." Steve says, Natasha nodding at that and heading off to tell the others.

Steve headed off after asking Jarvis where Bucky was. He hadn't seen him since HYDRA attacked. He was definitely worried about him. But he also thought that he decided to hide away whilst they attacked just so he couldn't be used against them. But Bucky was currently in the gym, so that's where he was heading. The elevator opened up to the gym, where Bucky was punching a punching bag, not facing Steve.

"Hey Bucky. Could you look after Tony while the rest of us go on a mission?" Steve asked.

Bucky didn't turn to face Steve. He seemed to be deep in his workout until there was a nod. Steve smiled at that.

"Okay. Great! Thanks. He's in the Common area playing with legos." Steve says and heads back into the elevator, heading out of the tower.

What he didn't realise was, that Bucky wasn't there at the moment. He was trapped in his mind whilst the Winter Soldier was active. He stopped his workout and headed straight to the elevator. He was on a mission, set by HYDRA after their attack on their tower. He was tasked with taking the child the Avengers now had and bringing him back to their base. He needed to be careful. He had been told the child has powers. He had to be careful not to startle the child and cause him to use the powers. He walked into the elevator.

"Common Area." He says and the elevator closes and starts moving up to the common area.

The doors opened and he walked out. He looked around the common area for the target. He spotted him surrounded by a bunch of boxes and building with small little brick things. He grunted a little and held his head as he felt Bucky trying to fight to gain back control. He wasn't letting him win. This mission was important.

Tony looked over when he heard something behind him. He had a big grin on his face.

"Bucky!" Tony says and stands up, heading over to him.

The Winter Soldier looked down at Tony and saw he was holding a figure. He didn't care for what the figure was of. He stared down at Tony, which was scaring the child a little.

"Bucky? Are you okay?" Tony asked, holding the figure close to himself.

"I am okay. Can you come with me?" The Winter Soldier asked.

Tony frowned. "But, I want to continue building legos." He says and takes the Winter Soldier's hand, pulling him over to the legos.

The Winter Soldier was shocked when he was pulled over to the legos. He was expecting the child to listen to him. Not do this.

"Look! We can have so much fun with this!" Tony says with a smile as he pulls the Winter Soldier to sit down with him.

Tony showed him how to build with the lego. The Winter Soldier was definitely very confused as to how he got roped into this and the child managed to get him playing with the lego. But, he was enjoying it. He had never had this feeling before. Bucky had. But he never had.

Oh screw HYDRA. This innocent child needed his protection. Especially with how now, the child was sat on his lap and snuggling close to him as he built with the lego. He had an arm wrapped around the child as Tony built with the lego. He decided that it was time to let Bucky take back control.

He had a new mission: Protect the small child. And that was even from HYDRA. They were not harming him either. He groaned as he let Bucky take back control. Tony looked up at him with a worried look.

"Are you okay Bucky?" Tony asked.

Bucky rubbed his head and looked down at Tony. He just smiled at him.

"I'm fine trouble." Bucky says and hugs him close.

"If anyone tries to harm the small child, I shall dispose of them immediately." Bucky heard the voice in his head say and sighed with relief.

The Winter Soldier, for once, had the same interests as him. They could finally work together.
