Roses

You remind me of a rose
So protective of yourself
Thorns all around
Not wanting me to touch you

Your beauty lures me in
Wanting me to touch you
I know I can't have you
But I don't care

I find a way to have
All for myself
To cherish you
And to love you as I should

I, like the fool I am
I reached for you
Picking you, my beautiful rose
From the rose bush

Although I got some scars
It doesn't matter
It's all worth it
Cause you I have you right here

You're my rose
And I'm that stubborn person
That picked you
Cause I loved you so much.
