"Anndd... that's the last one!" Hoseok said pleased, dusting off his hands as he stood up and looked around his new apartment.
"Thank god, that was exhausting. I am never going to move in my life. Looks' like you're stuck with me Jin hyung." Jimin said plopping down onto Hoseok's couch. Seokjin let out a deadpanned "yay."
"Yaah, Jung Hoseok, you better treat us to dinner after helping you move." Seokjin pouted, "I only helped because I was told there would be food involved."
"Ahh, my friends. Aren't I so grateful to have such wonderful, selfless, friends?" Hoseok teased, clutching at his heart for good measure.
Seokjin blinked innocently, "You should be! Friends like us don't come by every day, you know."
"I know, I know," Hoseok said slinging his arms around Jimin and Seokjin's necks as he plopped between them on the couch. A giant mound of packing dust floated up around them making them cough. "I will definitely pay you guys back with food." Hoseok assured, "What do you guys want? Japchae? Bibimbap? Ddukbokki?"
Seokjin moaned at the mere mention of food, "How about—all the above??"
Jimin laughed from the side, "Leave it to hyung to request a three course entre... but I'm in." Jimin concurred, fist bumping Jin over a brooding Hoseok.
"A meal like that is going to take some time. How about you guys come back tomorrow?" Hoseok said, smile back on his face, it never left for long.
"Okay, but you better not be lying!!" Seokjin said as he and Jimin got off the couch.
"Me?? Lying?? I would never." Hoseok feigned hurt as his two best friends made their way to the door.
"Okay hyung, byeeee." Jimin said as they all waved to each other.
The apartment was quiet when they left. Hoseok wasn't one to necessarily like being alone, but he had been so elated to finally have his own place that he couldn't bring himself to complain. He smiled as his eyes roamed around his new apartment. There were still open boxes everywhere, but the contents had mostly been distributed to their new homes. His clock had been hung on the wall adjacent to the couch, silver ware was put away into kitchen drawers, shoes placed neatly on shelves near the front door, it was truly beginning to feel like home.
The one thing he had forgotten to get was food. Hoseok glanced at the clock, 5:00 pm, it wasn't too late to go and do a little grocery shopping.
20 minutes later and Hoseok had successfully navigated his bike to a supermarket somewhat nearby, walking up and down the aisles.
"What do I need for japchae, bibimbap, and ddukbokki?" He made a mental list in his head. Grocery shopping was exciting, or maybe it was the fact that finally, he was on his own.

"Jung Hoseok? Living alone?" His mother had said, "He won't last a month."
"HAH!" His dad interjected from the adjacent room, "He won't last a week." Hoseok was hurt, did his parents really have that little faith in him?
He voiced his opinions. His mother laughed endearingly, coming up to smooth down his hair.
"Come on dear, you jump when someone rings the doorbell, or when you hear strange noises at night, how are you going to live by yourself?"
Ok, so maybe his mom had a point there, but Hoseok was a grown man, damnit! He would make this work. He'd show his parents, hell, he'd show the WORLD just who Jung Hoseok could be.
