My life was perfect, my life was all set out, and I was to marry the man of my dreams.

Too bad I ended up falling for another man.

--Twelve years ago--

-AGE 10-

Logan was around again, he practically lives in our house! He’s my older brother’s best friend. Louis and Logan are always together and I’m always part of their fun too...

“AHHHH LOGAN, LOUIS” I screamed. “I’m soaking, I’m going to tell daddy” I moaned as I stood from my soaking pink bed sheets and pushed past the two laughing idiots, heading for the door. As I walked down the long hallway to the stairs I could hear their laughter behind me, ugh.

“Come on Li, we were only joking” Logan giggled from behind me. I ignored him and carried on my way to the twirling stairway, hurrying down the steps and heading for morning room. Pushing open the large wooden door and entering the room I saw my Daddy sat on his favourite seat. He had his feet on the foot stool with a newspaper resting in his hands.

He looked up as I made my way towards him “morning sweetheart” he chuckled “what have they done this time” he questioned as I slumped onto the flower patterned chair. Just as I was going to answer him the two idiots walked in.

“Ask them” I sulked. They are so stupid, last week they stole Bella, my princess doll and the week before that they painted my favourite sunglasses black so I couldn’t see out of them!

Louis laughed slightly as Logan shifted his feet slightly. My father sat up slightly and put his paper down; he peered over the top of his glasses at the two boys. Daddy likes to pretend to be mean but really he’s a big softy.

Logan looked down from Daddy’s stare as he muttered “we were only messing around, Li loves being woken up by us” Louis said.

“Because that makes sense, I love freezing cold water being thrown at me in the morning!” I shouted, as Logan and Louis smirked at me! Ugh Boys, there so stupid!

“What is all the shouting about Lillie?” mother questioned as she walked wearing a fitted lilac gown. “Lillie, what have I told you about wearing your bed gown down here? Go and get dressed immediately” she frowned at me. “Good morning boys, how is Harold doing Logan?” she smiled kindly at them. Harold only lives in the house next to ours, it’s not that far away but she still ‘hasn’t got time’ to go and visit him herself.

Logan of course, smiled brightly “Good morning Mrs Harper, father is wonderful thank you for asking” he said politely. What a suck-up!

“Splendid, is he still alright for tonight and are you and your step mother coming too?” she smiled.

“Yes, he reminded me this morning and I believe Kara will be coming too” he said politely.

“Olive” she called, not responding to Logan’s answer. She’s so rude sometimes! Our house maid appeared. “Take Lillie to go and get dressed for the day please” mother said in a bored tone. I glared at mum as Olive nodded her head and rushed out of the room. I am perfectly alright to dress myself; I am ten years old!

She turned towards me, “well, what are you waiting for, we have some guests coming around tonight and we need to prepare” she said, I looked at daddy and he just sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

I went to my room where, Olive had a beautiful white dress for me, It reminded me of a princess dress. I got washed and Olive helped wash my back and chatted to me. She’s a lovely lady, more of a mother than my own.

I’m extremely mature for my age and I was raised to speak properly and to use sophisticated words. My parents own a well known business which gives us the benefit of living in a large house and to have maids like Olive.
