Chapter 9 - Rescuing

Lilly's P.O.V

"Dad!" Judith screamed as they came out the car she ran into Ricks arms and was hauled up into the air and held in his arms.

"Carl" I said and ran over and hugged him tightly.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"I'm fine, but the house went alight I took Judith and got out of there loads of people are missing, Glenn, Donna....Daryl" I told him pulling away.

"Daryl, will be fine he always is" Carl reassured me.

"Someone's got to go in there Donna, Glenn and Beth are in the basement!!!" Maggie screamed.

I has a brief moment of thought they had a basement, I never knew.

"I'll go in" Carl said.

"You could die!" I protested.

"So could they!" He replied wisely.

I pulled him close and kissed his lips. "Go" I told him.

He took of his hat and gave it to me and ran into the building to try and get them.

After a few minutes my heart beat rose dramatically and I thought he was gone forever, until I saw come out with them.

"Glenn!" Maggie screamed.

Glenn ran to her and Stefan and hugged them close. "Thank god you two got it out alright" Glenn said.

I took a closer look and saw that Carl was carrying Beth. He came over and lay her on the ground. "Donna said he passed out from the fumes" Carl informed me.

"Was anyone else in there?" I asked.

"No one I seen or heard, The others may be in the forest or possibly worse" Carl said.

I then heard a motorbike behind me. Daryl and Carol were on it and they got off and ran over.

"What happened? We just went on a run and now this..." Carol said.

"Diana did this, We found a camera she said her and a friend

sneaked in and did this we rushed back as soon as we could" Carl answered.

"Hershel, Tyrsee, Michonne ad Axel are still unaccounted for" Rick said.

"When the fire dies down we can go look in the forest for them, for now everyone should get in the RV" Rick ordered.

Jennette's P.O.V

"Ben, we all have to go in the RV" I told him.

"I'm not leaving him" Ben told me.

"I won't leave you alone, so I'll stay too" I told him kneeling beside him and taking his hand as he starred at the dead body of his father.

Once the fire died down Rick and Glenn went looking for the rest while Carl dug a grave for Allen.

"We've done this to many times" I told Carl.

"Yeah, it doesn't get any easier" Carl answered shovelling more dirt out the way.

"I hope the rest are alright" I told him.

Lilly then came over and stood next to me. "You alright?" She asked me.

"A little shaken up but I'll be alright, how about you?" I asked.

"Terrified" She whispered to herself but she pretended like she didn't "I'm fine" She said.

"Ok..." I answered unbelievingly.

Once Carl had finished digging the grave we put Allen's body into it and covered it putting a wooden cross in it.

Rick came over obviously with news. "Everyone else is alive and well, except Axel didn't make it" Rick informed us.

Lilly burst into tears and she didn't even like Axel he hated him. Nobody else cried just her.

When she walked off Carl gave Rick the shovel and went to console Lilly.

Lilly's P.O.V

"I don't understand why I just did that" I told Carl whipping tears from my face. "Maybe it's because I'm pregnant maybe that's why" I said.

"Probably is the reason you burst into tears but there's a reason behind it, what's the matter?" He asked.

"I'm terrified that Diana will try to hurt my baby" I told him.

"Don't say that she will never get to even think that, alright?" Carl said.

"Thank you" I told him putting my head on his shoulder and he put his arm around me.

"Are you scared?" I asked him.

"Terrified" He answered.

Authors note - sorry its short there's not much I could think of doing in this chapter so yeah
