𝙅𝙊𝙔𝘾𝙀 𝙋𝙇𝙐𝙉𝙂𝙀𝘿 𝙏𝙃𝙀 long needle into her son's arm, and almost instantly he fell limply against his restraints, his soft hair falling over his face, and his dark heavy eyelashes kissing his pale cheeks. He seemed so vunerable and peaceful when he was asleep, it made Ember smile softly at his small, delicate figure.

However, there was no time to admire the beauty that was Will Byers.

The group inside the shed quickly ran back towards the house, Hopper leading the group, when he abruptly stopped, having heard something. The others cocked their ears, trying to pick up on what had distracted him, when they heard it too. The distant screeches of many Demogorgons, filling the cool night air, and evoking a new sense of fear in the group.

Mike, Em, Jonathan, Hopper and Joyce ran back to the shed to get Will, fumbling with his ties, and gently lifting his figure up into his older brother's arms. The minute they stepped inside the house, her and Mike ran to the front window to peer out, accompanied by Dustin, Lucas and Max, before Hopper barked at them to get away. They jumped up and retreated to behind the older teens, who were bracing themselves for an attack.

Ember suddenly noticed the two large guns Hopper was grasping in each hand. He growled to Jonathan, asking if he could use it, but the boy stammered and before he could answer, Nancy cut across him "I can." She answered determinetly, and Ember couldnt help but stare in awe and respect at the older girl as she loaded the gun and pointed it at the door.

Hopper yelled to her "Kid! Get ready" She nodded at him and a large ball of fire appeared in each of her hands. She positioned herself in a defensive stance in front of the other kids staring in anticipation through the windows. "Where are they?" Em peered over her shoulder to see Max cowering in fear behind Lucas, who had his slingshot aimed at the door, obviously in an attempt to protect her.

She felt a warmth grow in her stomach at the two, who were so obviously fond of each other, but that fire was extinguished as fast as it had began as another screech came from the side of the house, this time a lot closer than previously. The group all turned sharply to face it. "What are they doing.." Nancy muttered shakily. There was a dull silence for a minute, but a clear roar came from the front again, and they all whipped around again in confusement and fear. The screams became louder, and Em could hear thumps and more noises, almost as if the Demogorgons were fighting, and then silence.

Before Em could even process it, a Demogorgon came flying through the window, shattering the glass, and scrabbling in the corner of the room it had been thrown to. Em and Hopper immediately jumped in front of everyone, ready to attack it, but it did not stir. The pair began to advance towards it cautiously, not paying attention to the comments of Dustin and Max behind them. Hopper nudged it with his foot, pushing it's head over. He silently comfirmed it's death, and the group collectively let out a sigh of relief.

However, a creak behind them made them jump, and the door began to unlock, and slowly creep open. Ember felt an sudden urge to keep this odd  bunch of people safe, so she inhaled deeply, and the flames in her hand surged, as she stepped towards the door. A fiery beast roared inside of her as she protected the people she had grown to love and trust.

A pair of dirty white shoes stepped over the threshold, followed by a pair of cuffed jeans, a black jacket, and a face that, although it was covered in makeup, Em would recognize anywhere. A face that had gotten her through all those dark years in the lab, a face that she had been searching for for almost a year now.

It was her.

El was back.

The world seemed to freeze, everyone else melted away. It was only the two sisters, whos bond had only grown stronger since they were apart. Em's vision clouded with stinging tears, as her defense lowered and her long lost sister began to smile.
