What a nice dream that would be. Waking up to a world with no demons that are found lurking at night, yet we're here.

"It just had to be this way," Giyuu said to himself as he lazily got up to roll up his futon because if he didn't he would definitely want to crawl back into it. He changed into his uniform and went into the restroom to brush his teeth and put his hair in his usual low ponytail. Once he was finished he lazily stared into the mirror and sighed as he looked down and placed his haori over him and exited the restroom without looking back at the mirror. It still hurt what had happened back then, there was not a day that went by without reliving those nightmares yet here he was hiding his pain behind his strength.

(Y/n) POV

It was morning already and for once she got to sleep for a decent amount of hours.

"I can't believe I'm not tired at all" (y/n) thought as she stretched her arms out and attempted to detangle her hair with her fingers. After a long yet quiet yawn she got up to change into her new uniform and brushed her teeth. There was her reflection staring back at her making her question herself whether or not she was doing the right thing but stopped as she managed to untangle her hair and put it into a bun with her curtain bangs flowing out. She exited the restroom to roll up her futon and get some fresh air and go about her day until a sudden thought came to mind making her pause altogether,

"Where am I?"

Giyuu POV

It's very early in the morning, the sun isn't even up yet and he has a few days off from missions and-

"Why won't I be having any missions again?" he asked himself as he paused in front of the sliding door of his room until it hit him. All of yesterday's events came to him like the trial of the Kamado siblings, killing a lower moon 5, and... (Y/n). Recalling these memories made him abruptly slide his door open praying that it wasn't just his imagination but his questioning was answered as he bumped into a girl whose height reached just to his chin. She looked up and there were those light blue eyes. Her eyes widened and she let out a sigh of relief followed by him,

"Thank god it wasn't a dream" they mentioned in sync. After fixing their composure they stayed in a comfortable silence standing in front of each other. Back in the days when being under the supervision of Urokodaki, they would wake up before the sun rose to warm up and be prepared for his harsh training. Despite being at the highest level of the Demon Slayer Corpse, it had become a routine. (Y/n) then looked up at him before getting an idea,

"Let's go somewhere since I was told that you and I will be having a few days off and I know you need a break from training since that is all you like to do." He hesitated for a moment before agreeing. She grinned before walking out the front door with her mismatched haori and sword in hand followed by Giyuu as well. They walked side by side to wherever their feet took them.

"How did you sleep?" Giyuu suddenly asked, making her smile.

"Better than ever. And you?" As he thought about what to say he found no reason to lie, he actually slept well after so long.

"Same as you," he replied, making her hum in understandment. They were now in the middle of where the meeting took place yesterday which is where all of the pillars' estates happen to be surrounding it in a circle with a good amount of distance apart from each other. There was a pond nearby catching the young female's attention as she turned towards that direction making the male curiously follow behind her. They then found themselves standing in front of the pond before she sat down in front of it with her legs crossed on the ground. Giyuu then sat down with her as well watching the small fishes in it. She wanted to ask him to do the thing he did back then but decided not to, at least not yet. Giyuu on the other hand was lost in thought recalling everything they did as kids until a question came to thought, one that he couldn't stop himself from asking.
