Yuzu smiled brightly, her hands busily tapping a gift for Mei.

I hope she likes it. What am I saying, of course she will...I think.

Yuzu loved Christmas. She wasn't sure if it was the snow, or the lights, or the gifts. But this year was different. This year she had Mei. She never really paid attention to the mistletoe hanging from her doorway that her mom put up, but this year she was determined to get a kiss from Mei. She blushes thinking about it.

It was in that moment that Mei walked into the room, and Yuzu hid the present behind her back.

"Do you have homework to be doing?"

"Mei, come on it's a holiday. I'll do it later this week." Yuzu pouted.

Mei walked to her desk, putting away her work. She looked out the window and saw carolers. "I never understood that. People coming door to door just to sing a few songs then leave."

"What? Oh the carolers? They do it cuz it's the spirit of the holiday. Plus I like it." She starts humming along to the voices outside. Mei turned to see Yuzu, and rolled her eyes a bit. "Childish." "Oh shush, you know you like it." Yuzu smiles and sticks her tongue out. "Well I'm gonna go help out in the kitchen."

Mei nods and sees Yuzu put something away out of the corner of her eye. Hm? What's she hiding? She shrugged it off and put her stuff away. Yuzu went to the kitchen to help prepare dinner and Mei snuck a look at to what was under the bed. It was a present, all wrapped up neatly with a bow. Well well, this looks interesting. She smiles slightly and listened to the carolers outside, humming along softly to "All I want for Christmas is You."
