Part 6
"Cas! I'm home!" You called as you walked in your apartment and placed some bags on the floor behind the couch. Castiel poked out his head and came out of the bathroom, looking bright eyed at you. He gave you a smile and walked over to you at the door.
"Welcome back." he said, standing in front of you now. You gave him a hug and sighed, glad to be near him again. He hugged you back.
"I got the beer Dean said he buys for you guys." you said, holding him as you leaned back and smiled up at him.
"Thank you." he said, leaning forward and pulling you into a deep kiss. You giggled into the kiss and pulled away.
"I got you your new clothes. But let's check your stitches first" He nodded and turned to sit down on the bar stool in the kitchen.
"I hung up my jacket in the bathroom on a hanger I found. I've seen Sam do that in the bunker when he needs to air dry or get wrinkles out." Castiel explained as you slipped your shoes off and lifted his shirt above the bandage and peeled it off to see how it was healing. He was chatting away while you examined the stitches, almost completely healed. You'll need to remove them now.
"Over night and its almost completely healed. I need to remove the stitches now." You said, looking up at him. He smiled at you.
"Okay." You got up and walked over to the bathroom, where the first aid kit was sitting neatly in the corner. You grabbed your scissors and a pair of tweezers and walked back over to Castiel.
"I picked you up the phone also. I'll help you set it up. And make it easier for you to use. Since it will be your first smartphone." You explained, getting to work on removing the stitches.
"You're so kind." He said, watching you work while holding up his shirt. You quickly finished up and stood, after putting a new bandage over it to protect it from outside elements. You smiled at him and leaned in, giving him a small kiss. You were about to pull away but he wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you back, kissing you more; his legs on either side of you. You put the scissors down behind him on the counter, and closed your hand around the garbage in your hand, leaning into him. He breathed in, kissing more passionately licking your bottom lip. Was he learning to kiss from somewhere? He seems to be getting better, you thought, permitting him to enter. You felt yourself getting hot, wanting to move to the next step. You could feel the need for him growing. He pulled away; his eyes clouded with what seemed to be lust. His hands moved up to your face, while he started at you. You felt like you needed to say it. Those words. Staring into his eyes you decided it was now or never. He's healing, you might not get to see him again for a long time when he inevitably leaves to go back home to Sam and Dean.
"Castiel." you said his full name. His breath hitched; he already heard your thoughts. He heard them before, but now you were going to say it out loud.
"Yes?" he never looked away. He held his breath now.
"I love you." You said softly. Castiel started at you for a long moment before a big smile grew on his face.
"Really?" he knew but he couldn't help but ask. You nodded.
"But... if you can't... love me back. It's okay. I just needed to say--" He pulled you in for another long kiss. He pulled away, hugging you tight against him.
"I asked Sam about how it feels to be in love. He told me that its different for everyone, but he described it as best he could. And I believe I feel it." he said. You stared up at him. You were thinking hard now, about what you wanted to do. His face turned red. "I- I didn't think you'd --" He started but you shushed him.
