The Blind Luna

Forever Mine

Awaken from my sleep, I hear a growl throughout. I quickly ignore it thinking perhaps it was a dream. Then another loud growl rumbles once more. I shot up quick in the dark, looking over I see my mate peacefully asleep. Maybe I am going crazy? I thought to myself. I couldn't ignore it though. Even if it was my imagination. I needed to test the theory. I slowly make my way to the sweatshirt lying on the floor and shorts to cover my naked body. I walk towards the door and opened the handle as quite as I could. If there was an intruder I wasn't taking my chances. As each step I took I took with ease. I didn't need the stress on my mate and if it was a rouge I could take him. Maybe it was the wolf talking in me, no it was the Luna in me. I made my way to the stairs carefully and landed to the living room. Though it was dark, I didn't need light. Being blind paid off. Once I scanned the area I knew no one was there. To make sure I took a chance and turned the living room light on. Only to be met with pure horror. "KYOOO!!!" I screamed in heartache "KYOOO!!!" I whimpered once more. Kyo came running down the stairs. He quickly came to my side looking at the wall horrified and covered my eyes with his chest. The nightmare he covered from me. My real brothers dead body, nailed to the wall with black holes where his eyes should have been. That were now my corneas. He looked to have been rotting for about 4 weeks maybe more. I fell to the floor with Kyo. I tired to look again, but Kyo stopped me, holding me tighter. 

"NO! Baby don't look!" He pleaded with my whimpering body. I sobbed in his arms. "Drake!! Robbie!!" The two warriors that where on shift tonight came through the door. 

"Alpha Ky-" He cut himself off looking at the body. 

"Never mind that. Get the body off the wall." He commanded. 

"NO! Wait!" Kyo looked at me confused. "That's my brother. My real brother." I looked at the men and commanded in my Luna voice. "Take my brothers body and prepare tomorrow for a warriors burial." They then looked to Kyo for confirmation.  

"You heard your Luna!" Kyo shouted at the two guards. One guard quickly went to work while the other looked puzzled. 

"Alpha Kyo with all do respect the body is pretty much rot-" He didn't have time before Kyo cut in. 

"YOU WILL DO AS YOUR LUNA SAYS!! YOU DARE TO QUESTION YOUR ALPHA!!" He was pissed and it only made my sob louder. "Shh baby i'm sorry." He felt my tension. As the body was taking away Kyo pulled my weeping body to his chest. "Clean this up and I want four guards stationed now. Two outside and two inside at all times." 

"Yes Alpha Kyo." The men spoke in unison. He quickly took us upstairs and went to our bathroom. He sat me on the counter and began a bath. I felt the tear stains on my cheek. I almost felt dead inside, maybe I was. I was dead with grief. Is this what that horrible Alpha and father wanted me to be dead inside? My mate came to me and slowly took the sweatshirt off followed by the shorts. He then placed us both into the bath. I leaned my head against his chest and slowed my breathing. 

"Sekai, this is what he wants. He wants you to be scared." He tired but didn't he get it? I wasn't scared. 

"Kyo, I am not scared. I am lost. Both brothers dead. I saw one body I didn't plan on seeing the other." He kissed my neck trying to relax me. 

"My love, grieve but do not let this man make you loose yourself. You are my strong, beautiful, courage Luna. Your brothers would be proud and so would your mother." He spoke with such love, but all I felt was pain. Pain deeper then I could imagine. Didn't Kyo understand I was already lost. I felt numb inside. Is this what it felt like to be nothing but darkness? 

The morning after I woke up the burial was taken place and things went back to normal. The living room was clean as if my brother's dead body never clung to the walls. As if that horror never accrued. Kyo had Alpha business while I stayed home. He didn't want to leave me but he had too. The guards that stayed inside tried to make me laugh and get a rise out of me. But nothing I felt nothing. As dinner approached the guards offered to cook dinner but I denied to eat. 

"Luna, please eat something." Drake one of the guards said. 

"Not hungry." I replied. 

"Luna, Alpha Kyo would want you to eat." He tired to bribe me. As if Kyo already knew he walked through the door along with Jason. Drake put the plate down and walked to the living room where Robbie was. Kyo came around the island and placed the plate in front of me. 

"Eat." Was all he said. 

"No." He sighed at my response. 

"Please Love. Please eat." He practically begged. 

"Luna, Its important to be healthy." Jason added. 

"No!" I spoke louder. 

"ANNA!" Kyo dropped the plate to the table. "So help me goddess. If you don't eat I will shove it down your throat myself!" 

"DO IT!! PLEASE! I WOULD LOVE TO CHOKE ON MY FOOD AND DIE!" I was so angry and hurt with my lose I took it out on the food and my mate. I quickly ran to our room and closed the door. I ran to the bathroom next and locked it. I sat in there for hours just starring into nothing. I heard Kyo come to the door. 

"Baby, please open the door." I didn't reply. "Sekai, talk to me." I ignored again. Soon it was silent I could only guess he gave up. I laid my head on the bathroom floor and soon let sleep drown me from the emptiness I fell so deep in.
