"Remember Ash you need to get ready for school tomorrow, it's going to be your first day of high school," Roan said,

Ash started to feel sick, she hated school, that's why she had begged her adopted parents to let her be homeschooled instead of having to go to school, but this year it was different.

Her adopted mother Christina, and her adopted father, Roan both agreed to have Ash go to a "normal" high school since they thought that it would be different than the times they tried in middle school and elementary school.

Roan patted Ash's long dark grey almost black ash-colored hair and then stared straight into her pale blue eyes.

"Look I know that you are nervous and you don't want to go but me and Christina I both want what's best for you, and we feel that you going to high school will help make you more social."

"Now you should go to bed," Christina added after a long moment of silence.

"Okay." Ash sighed in defeat. As she walked down the hallway to her bedroom, Ash could hear them talking quietly. She paused so she could listen.

"Are you sure it's the best way?" Christina asked Roan. "Yes, I'm sure she'll be fine, we just have to believe in her and hope for the best." Ash sighed as she listened.

Knowing them, they probably weren't going to change their minds even if she begged them all night. Ash continued to walk to her room, she couldn't help but gaze at the beautiful oil pastel drawings Christina had made.

As she walked into her room, she ran to her bed and flopped onto it, sighing in happiness as she took a big whiff of her favorite stuffed animal, Avery.

Avery was a small grey wolf with big dark, forest green eyes. Then she fell asleep while she cuddled Avery in her arms.

Ash woke up, she yawned in her high-pitched squeaky way. She put on a large dark grey that was way too big for her x-small size but Ash didn't care, she put on light blue ripped jeans and her new sneakers.

She quickly kissed Avery on the head and headed downstairs to eat breakfast, she stopped by the bathroom to clean her face, brush her teeth, and put on make-up.

When Ash finally went to the kitchen, freshly made pancakes were waiting for her. She quickly ate them and ran out into the hallway. She then quickly waved goodbye to Christina as she ran past the living room,

I hope I'm not late! She thought in panic as she ran outside, even if she hated school she hated being late even more. Ash ran past many houses when she finally stopped to take a breath at the entrance of the school, her school.

She took a few cautious steps toward the door and looked down at her phone, it was 7:00 AM soon other students would be arriving. She waited a few more minutes near the door, and as students started coming she walked in. The first day of school had officially begun.
