Kabuto's favorite pawn: Ai-chan.

"If you don't want to be snake food, you have to keep moving, Ai." Kabuto kept his eyes to disapproving slits, constantly watching me.

"And if you want a vessel, you can't kill it before it's put to any use!" I growled, holding my katana in a ready stance.

"Ooh!" He smiled the snake from underneath his cloak wrapping around his legs, "it seems you finally decided to make this interesting." Kabuto began walking toward me and then quickly lunged himself at me in the form of a white yellow-eyed snake. Keeping track of his previous movements and now attempting to calculate his next, I weaved my hand signs and electrically charged my katana, piercing it into the ground. It stunted kabuto as a lauched myself off of the sword, and landing ontop of kabuto, holding a kunai to his now human neck. I smirked, my curls over my eyes.

"You're lucky that you're already blind, Ai-chan, or I would've spat acid into your eyes for pulling a stunt like that." I smiled, rolling off of him and going to retrieve my katana. I wasn't quite sure if Kabuto's threat was a sign of being impressed or for the plain fact, he would kill me.

Later that night, I tried to close my eyes to the strange peacefulness of the hideout, but it was odd not hearing the other vessels up at night, plotting how they'd all trick Kabuto and escape when the time was right, but I knew it was eventually inevitable.

When i did finally drift to sleep, my dreams weren't entirely peaceful either.  Screams of terror when i was extracted from my home, echoed off the walls, and the sight of my father being terribly wounded, messed with my head. If it hadn't been for my older brother Darui, dad would've been... I jolted awake and sighed. I could hear the two twins in the next room arguing, but there's no use in trying to break up Ame and Manami, so i just counted the cracks and lines on the ceiling, until sleep washed over me once more.

To those who waited for me to update, sorry it practically took a 2 years, I lost this account literally a day after I made it, and I've recently found it. The character Ai Nozawa is one of my own that I used to RP with on instagram, along with another character, Yume which i may start a story on too, if you'd like.
